I’m so sorry to be the only one to have a bad review but I was pretty upset about my experience at Didi. My nail techs did a great job - and I am content with the end product. I came to Didi because of the glowing reviews. I got to my appointment 15 mins late, and the woman at the front desk berated me like I was an elementary school child. Yes, I have busy mornings, and it is hard to take time out of my schedule for a 3 hour appointment, and no it isn’t great to be late. But she treated me like I was her employee who had shown up late, not someone who was paying almost $300 for my bridal manicure/pedicure. Maybe they do great nails, but their front desk staff needs to learn about basic etiquette and customer service. Most good places schedule buffer between appointments but I have gone to Didi twice and both times left me feeling horrible because I was 10-15 mins late. If beauty appointments are not your full time job, and you know you may need to be late from time to time - DO NOT GO HERE. I truly don’t know a single person in this city who has any sort of demanding job who hasn’t shown up for a manicure appointment a bit late. So if you’re one of those many people - absolutely don’t go here because they will infantilize you. Also - BOTH times I went here they didn’t have the colors I asked for at first within their small base color selection, so I had to go with suboptimal colors. Also - their nail art is SO subpar - do not go here if you are looking for top notch nail art - they can’t do it. They can do simple designs, but nothing complex. They tried gaslighting me into believing a small design that takes my usual nail artist 10 minutes was justified in taking them 1 hour because it was so “complex.” In the end we had to go with stickers. I get manicures to rest & relax from a hectic world - not to subject myself to more stress. Never...
Read moreI had gone to the Queens location a couple of times & accidentally booked for their city location! But zero regrets. They are just as meticulous here as their Queens location. The space is much larger and so cute.
Now to my pedicure. Amina did my pedicure. I had 3 corners that were already broken and she put poly gel to make it square again. This was my first time having this done and I loved it! Finally can see those stubborn corners that usually break look square again. Thank you, Amina!
Dasha works at the front desk & let me tell you, she is extremely hospitable! I thought she was Didi, the way she so beautifully represents the business. She brought me tea as I got my pedicure. Dasha was the one who looked at my toes with Amina & helped translate as they discussed the option for the poly gel.
I’ve been to nail salons where when sometimes they speak another language, you would assume they were talking negatively about you, but no, not here at Didi Nails. Here it just seems like a normal conversation about the work they want to do for the clients. No laughing, or pointing to the clients as they speak another language. Very professional! Ladies, you know exactly what I mean! Lol
I’ve done Russian pedicures at other businesses and I get reminded on why it’s just better to stick with Didi Nails. Zero disappointment. The commute is worth it (whether Queens or the city.)
My only suggestion is to bring cash as they charged about $10 more for...
Read moreI have an amazing time at didi nails yesterday. Not only were the staff extremely professional, upbeat and kind, but the salon was spotless. Ive been to many local nail salons, as all new yorkers have, that were so gross, taking a calculated risk going in. But at didi nails, I was shocked at how immaculate the place was. I got a Russian manicure for the first time and I'm obsessed with my nails and how nice my cuticles are. I've struggled with ripped and attached cuticles for so long and I have to say how amaizng my hands look and feel now. I didnt know my nail polish could be this smooth either. Im used to the local lumpy, 30 min acrylic job. A Russian manicure takes time, but honestly I'd rather my nail tech take as long as she needs to do detail work. I'm so tired of these salons that want you in and out in 30 mins ad you feel like a number to them. Not here I felt like the health of my nails and my comfort were really cared for. Im referring all of my friends here, and will be back in the recommend 3-4 weeks. We'll worth the price. My hands have never looked so good and ive never felt so welcomed in a...
