Murray Hill Market…. Where NYC Meets a Touch of Opera and Pickles!
Ah, Murray Hill Market-where the air smells like freshly brewed coffee, the shelves are stocked like a gourmet wonderland, and the opera music makes you feel like you've been transported straight out of NYC and into a European café (or maybe a dramatic Italian opera, depending on the song).
First off, this place is CLEAN and organized-like, Marie Kondo herself might shed a tear of happiness. Every aisle is easy to navigate, which is a rare luxury in the city. Whether you're on a mission for fresh fruit, need an emergency floral arrangement (we've all been there), or just want a piping hot bowl of soup, this place delivers.
Speaking of food, let's talk about the essentials:
Hot buffet? Check. Soups? Yes. Salads? Fresh and crisp. Juice bar? Absolutely. Because sometimes, you need something green to balance out life's indulgences. Prepared foods, coffee, and more? You bet. If it's edible and delicious, they probably have it.
Now, onto my meal: I grabbed a classic chicken sandwich and a buffalo chicken sandwich-both were solid choices. The rolls? Fresh. The veggies? Crisp. And let's not forget the real MVP: the pickles. Yes, pickles. Crunchy, briny, and downright delicious. The kind of pickles that make you pause mid-bite and appreciate life.
After a long day, this spot is perfect for a quick soup and sandwich fix— comfort food without the wait. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make a pit stop here. Murray Hill Market,...

I've gone here twice for food now since I've bought flowers there in the past and I only work 2 blocks away. It is of course overpriced because of the location, but it is a nicely kept, clean store. Still, I've had very rude service both times I've gone in for lunch. The first time the guy didn't heat up the panini that I had ordered. I let it slide. Today the guy behind the counter got my order wrong and when I asked him to add the extra ingredients to rectify the situation, he got loud and rude with me. It was a really simple fix. It was literally to add cheese to and a condiment to my plate, but rather than toss a slice on with a smile- I was met with head shaking, muttering under breath, as well as the outright and adversarial rudeness. Something along the lines of "if you said that, I would have made that." I can actually stomach the $14 for a couple of pieces of chicken and a water. I can't stomach that kind of attitude. It really stinks too, because I love to try to give my business to local businesses. I'll just give my lunch money to Open...

The salads here are absolutely amazing! They offer a great selection of fresh veggies, cheeses, and meats and there is a huge selection of salad dressings as well. It's a way better deal than anything at Subway, and the salads are sized appropriately to actually constitute a meal.
The employees are all super friendly, the whole place is exceptionally clean, and they have great hours to accommodate people who work beyond bankers hours and don't go to bed at 2000.
Additionally, there is a beautiful spot right across the street that has benches, a water fountain, trash receptacles, and gets lots of sunshine where you can sit, relax, and enjoy your...
