Got their 3-class starter pack, which was a good deal, but registering for classes isn't as easy as it seems. I am a member of the gym upstairs (MPHC) and thru their website, you can register for classes at Plaza Pilates - or so it seems. Plaza Pilates says I can register for class online so I confirmed if it was thru the login with MPHC and she said yes. So I did just that, but all it did was deduct the number of remaining classes, it's not clear whether I was actually registered. So I had to call them and front desk registered me. Turns out you have to create an account on their own website, contrary to what I was told. I thought I'd create an account on their website I can keep count of the classes I take, expecting to the first class I registered for, but no, nothing. Ok fine, it's 3 classes only, I don't need to see all three. As someone who has a flexible workday, I wish they had more classes during the day, but I guess they're also boutique and focus more on private sessions. Website specfically says you can't register for classes 12 hours prior. Seems a bit long. I can understand something like 6 hours, etc, but half a day? Either way, second classes I decided to go last minute so I called, but nobody was there and MPHC says there won't be anyone until 10-15 min before class. So who can I contact? Oh, if you're the only one registered, they might cancel the class too so beware of that, It happened to me. They said the instructor couldn't make it, but she was right there!! She was on the schedule to teach both the 9am and 10am class. I saw her teaching the 9am class. I was registered for the 10am class. One last thing, I specifically made it out early to take their "props" class, which happens only once a week, and there were no props used. Needless to say, I would not...

Read moreThere's a lot to like at Plaza Pilates, which provides a safe and healthy means of fitness tailored to each member's abilities. Hells Kitchen no longer lacks an upscale studio, with enough equipment for a reasonably priced group session while intimate enough for one-on-one attention. There are an assortment of levels and equipment available as well as packages for committed members. Every instructor I've used as been top notch, attentive to injuries and levels. A steady attendance has allowed me continually challenge myself and grow in strength. As a senior who has lived in this community for over 4 decades, I feel fortunate there's a place where I can work on health without fear of damage. I applaud the Plaza Pilates management and team for the great service...
