The policies they have in place are RIDICULOUS. First they said they couldn't make some of the drinks they had on the menu at 930pm. DRINKS. Not like running out of an entree or something. The waiter did not check on us at all and we wanted to order more food and drinks. They told us we had to wrap up eating by 11:30pm. So at 11:05pm we had to go downstairs and find our waiter in order to order more food and drinks. He comes upstairs and tells us that we can no longer order food or dessert because the kitchen is closed... then we try to order more drinks but he says we can only order WELL drinks. What is that?! It's a lounge that only allows you to order well drinks?!? You can't buy top shelf drinks if you want to?? Two people in my party do not drink alcohol so we asked to order the mocktails on the menu, but he said they couldn't make those either! Not to mention when we first sat down and ordered our first round of drinks, 2 out of the 3, were unable to be made... the virgin mojito and virgin pina colada. Another ridiculous thing.. so we could only order 1 of the 3 options. This was crazy because had the waiter came to check on us instead of us having to go fetch him past the apparent 11pm deadline, we likely would have spent another $200 easily. Oh. Also one item we ordered for dinner never arrived. So we had to tell him to take it off our check. Then we notice that they charged for the bottle of water that we never ordered or opened. We ask them to take it off the bill. They say they can't BECAUSE THEY TOOK IT OUT OF THE FRIDGE. THE BOTTLED WATER. I can't even. I've never had this type of experience in my life. It's so sad because it had potential and...
Read moreDue to the Tik Tok hype my cousin wanted to come here to celebrate her 20th birthday. The service was okay, the busboys were friendly and we had a friendly female waitress. I didn’t find the male waiter that served us to be as friendly, very stoic and unpleasant to interact with. We had equal interactions with both.
The food was tasty. I ordered the Korean fried chicken as well as the French fries with the truffle dip. The fries were hot and fresh, beautiful presentation but under-seasoned. I didn’t mind too much because the truffle dip was flavorful and grainy which I enjoyed. The fried chicken was the most crispy chicken I’ve ever had. The portion size is generous and the pickled radish is tangy (for those that enjoy pickled veggies). I felt the seasoning of the chicken/batter could be improved but I am someone that is used to well-seasoned foods.
The ambiance is very nice. As you can see in the video- she gave them her name and they displayed it on the large screen above the bar. They kept it up there for a while which was very nice and considerate. We were able to take many photos and videos.
I ordered an alcoholic beverage called Maldives to mojito. For 19 dollars it easily extremely overpriced and watery. I didn’t order another. The food prices are very reasonable.
Overall, it should’ve been a 5/5 but due to the service of the male server and price/quality of the alcoholic beverages I will rate it a 4. Excellent location in the heart of midtown, short walk from penn station. The food comes out quick but the wait for drinks (including simple drinks like juice) is long. They were out of apple juice and I believe green tea which...
Read moreHeard mixed reviews about their food and drinks, but I personally found their newly launched menu really good.
They offer an extensive menu of food, dessert and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). It is a cafe during the day and transforms into a bar at night. The interior gives a neon nightclub vibe with its bold lighting and media art installation.
*Pork Belly Bossam** I strongly recommend getting their Korean mains. The pork belly bossom is our favorite dish with the perfect meat-to-fat ratio. It is on the saltier side, so it will be a great accompaniment to your beer or cocktails.
*Soy Garlic Boneless Chicken* Soy garlic boneless chicken is another standout — finger-licking delicious and I like the roasted pumpkin slices.
*Sweet Potato Fries and Truffle Aioli If you want something to snack on while chatting with friends, get the sweet potato fries. Well seasoned and the truffle aioli is addictive.
*Soft Shell Crab Handroll *Spicy Avocado Salmon Crispy Rice Imo the handrolls and crispy rice are skippable unless you want more snacks to pair with your drinks.
*Kyoto Hoji Tea Roll Cake** DON’T SLEEP ON THEIR DESSERTS. The hojicha roll cake is a huge surprise — the hojicha cream has strong tea flavor, enveloped in the soft sponge cake. The green tea ice cream on the side is okay but great to eat with the roll cake.
*Creamy Ricotta Strawberry Croffle While the croffle has a nice crunch texture, we found the strawberries quite sour. It’s probably because the ice cream is too sweet.
*Virgin Mojito, Korean Yuzu Sour* The korean-inspired cocktails/mocktails aren’t too sweet, unique in flavors and...
