I'm so happy I found this place! No idea why the previous reviews are so negative - you get what you pay for! $24 for a mani/pedi inc tax & tip is the best deal I've seen in my life so far! Beats cheap TX even! For the price, this place is clean, welcoming and has everything any other nail salon does, and more. The restroom is spacious & super clean, the massage rooms looked lovely, the utensils used also looked very clean. The staff were all very nice and polite with me, although they did do the usual sales spiel of trying to convince me to spend more on massages, foot treatments, quick dry nail polish etc... But they weren't forceful & easily accepted me declining each time. They answered the phone within a couple of rings too. Sure, there were a few things I had to deal with like making sure the filing of my nails were all straight & even, all excess polish had properly been removed... But nothing different to any other place. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend you visit too! Try and arrive before 4.30pm on a weekday to avoid a 20 min wait though - it gets...
Read moreI made an appointment for 11am I was a few minutes late. The door was locked when she open it, she just stared at me I told her I had an appointment. She looked like she didn't know what was going on. I sat down. I needed a fill and gel polish. (pervious to this called and asked how much it would be they said 35) They didn't have a DRILL, I'm fairly new to NY. But I thought that was off. They she proceeds to get an old nail file (gross) and starts filing my gel polish off. Stops then says it 10 more to get them off! What? "it's too much work" She wanted to use actone!! My acrylic would come off! She said she knows. So I would have to get a full set plus gel, plus 10 because she doesn't have the right tools? I left. If she would have just filed my gel off I would have given her an extra...
Read moreTIme to Nail is the new name for the salon which is also under new ownership. For some unknown reason, Google will not change the name of this place. My recommendation--try Time for Nail. True, it's a terrible name for a business but they do a very good mani-pedi along with the best back and shoulder massage I have ever had. The new owner is a licensed masseur offering a nice range of services. The place is is clean, the workers are careful and the prices are gentle. Time to Nail is a far cry from Midas Nail which is no longer in business. UPDATE: On a return visit, had the Green Tea pedicure which was done by the lone male worker. His very hard leg massage (I asked him to ease up) left dark bruises around my ankles and...
