TQ (Turquoise) Spa — Local services in New York

Hey all I've been living in the city for close to two years now and haven't really found a good place that does full body massages and facials at a reasonable price until now. I actually found this spa on yelp thought I'd try it out. I've been going there for the passed 4 months and really love it so I decided I'd write a review. It's kinda small but they offer great service and greet me with a smile. Their masseuse is great and knows exactly the right trigger points. what I really love about them is they always listen and take criticism very well.. This was a major problem that I had while finding a good spa.. I'm very particular and other spas just thought I was teaching them how to do their job. not many ppl know about it which is good and you don't have to wait.. And it's next to a modeling agency .. I took my mum to TQ Spa for a manicure-pedicure Groupon deal for her birthday, and decided to get a groupon (with a facial) for myself, too. Making the appointment was straightforward and encouraging, as was all communication here: the woman who answered the phone was kind and knowledgeable. Upon arriving at the spa we were warmly greeted and offered tea, coffee, wine, water, etc. The manicurist got to work on my mum after a short wait, while Inna gave me a facial. Based on her explanation, i decided to upgrade to a chemical peel and am so glad. My skin has never looked better! I'm considering buying a facial package. Altogether we were there for +2 hours, and never felt rushed. I'm happy with the quality of services and it's reassuring to know that the staff are fairly paid—we were asked how the tip should be divided...

Botched microblading done by Sheila unevenly. She told me to wait until it healed to see how it would look. The process was painful, I bled and oozed the the whole day. Four weeks later after it healed, it looked nothing like it did initially. Color spread looking like a regular tattoo. Irena (owner) said I should've addressed the concern before I left, which I expressed to her I did. She then told me to come back in to even them out but pay the same price that I did originally.
