Bahn Thai Massage — Local services in Newport

I moved to the Oregon coast two months ago, and I’ve been through three supposedly highly rated masseuse’s, and all three were just… Not good. One was OK the other two, who work out of a large Asian place on the highway, were literally the worst massages I’ve ever had. Like, truly horrible. I was so sick of paying all this money only to have another crappy massage and so I had just kind of given in and thrown in the towel. But I work out a lot and practice, yoga, and it almost 60, you really can’t do all that stuff without Massage. Well, today I just had a massage with Pem, and THANK YOU. Hallelujah it was great. She is strong, self assured, extremely knowledgeable about the body and best of all at least for me, she can go hard as hard as I like it. Really great. And her place is super cool too with all those great Vintage Massage posters on the wall. I highly highly recommend. I am so relieved to have found someone good. I honestly don’t know how the other places have good reviews unless the people who are getting the massages just really honestly are not educated in massage and just think any old...

"Pen" (I may be spelling that wrong), just gave me the overall best massage I've had in over 20 years--and I'm picky! I knew within 3 minutes after the massage began that I had found someone special. Her long sweeping strokes, skilled kneading and gently focusing on knots plus the way she expertly massaged my tense neck and back were phenomenal. I'm kind of a baby for pain so I told her to keep it more in the Swedish area for intensity but based on her abilities and knowledge, I may just let her go a little deeper next time. I walked out feeling like I was floating on a cloud...but before I did that I reserved appointments with her for every two weeks into October. Her partner Phil who mans the front desk and payment was very nice and helpful as well. All around 5 star experience at Bahn Thai and the price...

This was my first Thai Traditional massage. Pen applied the right amount of pressure and always made sure I was okay. She worked on all my problem areas and communicated throughout. There is some stretching and movement involved which really helped me see where I was more tense. I actually came back to my airbnb and was so relaxed I napped which is something I normally don't do. I will never again visit the coast without coming to Newport for a massage from Pen. There was a cup of hot tea waiting for me after. The gentleman up front was knowledgeable about local spots to try out and places to see. I felt right at home here. Thank you so much for your hospitality and friendliness.
