Let me begin by saying that my wife and I love chipotle. We go at least once or twice a week and have been for years. We just recently moved to this area back in April and to put it lightly, this location has not been impressive whatsoever. I can typically give people benefit of the doubt which is why we continue to go but tonight was the last straw for us. Each time we go one of us has a story about how bad the service was. I will just offer some of our most recent ventures although this has been an ongoing ordeal for awhile.
Two weeks ago we went to this location, I went in and there were only five people in front of me. The line was a disaster, food and sauce all over the place. I was in that place for 52 minutes... (Yes I now time myself every time I go) I understand there is going to be a wait but my goodness Chipotle, someone show a sense of urgency or something.
Every time I go I get the same exact thing. When someone asks for a little bit or extra something I would assume they'd ask to see if the amount they put on is suitable to the person ordering. I don't know how many times lately my burrito has been drenched in hot sauce after asking for very little. Also, every time we go, they are out of something. They are busy and they are running out of things.... That just does not make sense to me.
The last time my wife went, there were employees bad mouthing a customer after she left in front of all of the others in line because she was allergic to pork and there was pork in the vegetables. Again, have never seen a line in chipotle look as bad as it has in this location at times.
I will say there was friendly customer service tonight however 9 times out of ten, the service definitely isn't friendly. It feels like they are burdened by you being there making them do there job.
Now tonight, even with the improved service, I hit my breaking point. I have contemplated writing a review for months but when my sister in-law pulls a very long hair from her mouth causing all three of us to lose our appetite, that was it.
This location has definitely ruined Chipotle for me. My family will not be returning to chipotle any time soon and we will never go back to this location. Step up your service, show some passion, do something! I hope you all are able to resolve these issues because this location has been drowning...
Read moreNormally I don’t do reviews on anything but my experience at this specific location was horrendous. I went in to get a bowl to go. When I walked up to the counter I saw several employees. It was only me in line and three people in the dining area so the staff was not busy. I waited about 2 minutes just for someone to greet me and serve me. When I first came in they all made eye contact with me and I heard at least half of them say they weren’t going to take my order. After the 2 minutes went by a girl who was actually busy came up to me. She was friendly and polite and seemed like she wasn’t as lazy. I started telling her the ingredients I wanted on my bowl. When she was spooning everything I noticed how empty and unfresh half of their food was. What blew my mind was that there were several other workers refusing to serve me and not being able to manage a healthy, clean, and fresh kitchen. Most of them stood there and literally didn’t do ANYTHING. Then I asked the girl to put guacamole on my bowl. I don’t know if she was new or just didn’t care but she gave me the smallest amount possible. I asked her twice because she couldn’t hear me to please add more guacamole and give me a reasonable portion. When she added it the second time she spilled half the spoonful of guacamole onto the counter. Like seriously they weren’t busy and it’s not hard to scoop food into a bowl. I paid at the front and left with a bowl and chips. Finally I got home and I was starving. I began to eat my bowl and right away I noticed the rice wasn’t even fully cooked. It was hard and I immediately had a stomach ache. This location is unprofessional, filthy, lacks customer service, and needs a manager who knows what they’re doing. Read moreI literally have an issue EVERY single time I choose this location. I come because it’s close on my way to home. And also, I would assume the issue would be resolved by now. This place has poor customer service.the customer service is so terrible that I would imagine the people leaving “positive” comments are either bots or they’ve experienced an earlier shift than me. Today I placed an online order which had salsa & guacamole (which is included), I emphasized a few ingredients to be “extra” as there is an option online. I picked up the food and there was no guacamole nor salsa. And the portion was literally for a child. I come to chipotle often as I work in a clinic & dont really have time for a big lunch & when it’s time to go home I don’t always feel like cooking. I expressed my disappointment with the manager whom said his name was “Benjamin” not sure if that’s his real name but I’ll make sure I verify when I’m there, which probably won’t be for food. However, “Benjamin” said the entire area was out of guacamole but I seen them serving others with guacamole and if the case were true why not alert the customer? And to make me more aggravated, “Benjamin” a so called manager laughed as if it was funny. The last time I reached out I did not ask for anything. This is a very cheap meal. All I want is for the order to be correct. I do online because I’ve been on my feet all day, I don’t have time to wait in a line if given the option. I literally love every chipotle in Charleston EXCEPT this one. Maybe there should be a surprise audit or something of that sort. This management is terrible. And i would be surprised if this hasnt been addressed before.
