I've been there before and have only had an issue twice. On my latest visit, the therapist came from the back when I entered. I've not seen her there before, I think her name was Hannah, not positive though. Before the session started I told her deep pressure was fine, but do not use your elbows. She said that was fine. Once she started, about 15 minutes into it, she started grinding her elbow into my shoulder. When I politely reminder her to not use her elbow, she said she needed to get the muscles to loosen up. When I asked her the second time, she said I was being a baby. She was working hard, so I let it go. But after about 45 minutes into a 2 hour session she started texting constantly on her phone. Then she actually took a call for about 15 minutes during the session. The room was freezing, the AC vent blows directly on you while you are on the table. I mentioned that it was cold, she did not respond. After all that, she ended the session 15 minutes early. I've only had 2 less than good experiences there, both involved a distracted therapist on her phone and ending the session early. I don't remember her name, but I will stick with my normal therapist going forward. Grace is great, but she was off so I took a chance on someone else that did not work out. I just took $15 off her tip for cutting it short. Again, I've had mostly great visits there, only 2 not...
Read moreI called this place to see if they could squeeze me in for a chair massage, I had a tight muscle in my shoulder and it was killing me! They got me in right away! When I got there, there was a tiny girl who was going to be my masseuse. I’m not a small girl and she was so tiny, I didn’t have high hopes for my shoulder feeling better! I was wrong! The strength she has in her hands is unreal! I haven’t had full range of motion in my shoulder for 10+ days and now I can move it without pain! When she was done, I had a little incident with my legs being numb, but that was absolutely on me, I could feel them going numb, but I didn’t mention it because I was focused on how much better my shoulder felt. That might have been a bad decision, lol. I ran over there on my lunch break and I know I was sweaty from work. That probably sucked for her, but she was so nice about it! I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone! I wish I wasn’t terrible with names so I could tell you what masseuse I had, but I don’t remember her name. She was absolutely awesome though! And they are definitely one of the least expensive...
Read moreNatural Massage Spa is located in a small strip mall just prior to the Tauger outlets across from Holiday Inn Express in North Charleston. I stopped in for attention to a shoulder issue that was developing. It is relatively quiet(there was some reoccurring sound initially like moving or dumping a large bin.) The spa had soft lighting and music. I was greeted and asked what services I would like and given a bottle of water. I was a walk-in so I had a 20 min wait. I was assigned Ms. Tina a kind and attentive masseuse. She asked what level of pressure I wanted and confirmed my troublesome area. She used pressure, stretching, range of motion, change in position, medicated cream, asked if I would like medicated cream ,heated towels, and stones. At the end of my session I received water and she reexamined the area to check for improvement and advised there may be some pain/ soreness in...
