So I came in to place a to go order and the lady that took my order was very nice and friendly. I ordered the Basil fried rice with chicken wings and also got in order of spring rolls. I also asked for a sweet tea to drink. While waiting for the food to cook, I ask for a refill of tea. I will say that the food is made to order. The food was still hot by the time I got to the hotel. The rice, in my opinion, had no Basil taste at all. It was the house fried rice, and I will say they did not go cheap on the meat. Every bite had some kind of meat in it. The chicken was fine in the rice. The stake in the Rice was kind of chewy and have sort of a Licorice taste to it. The shrimp and the rice seem to be the frozen shrimp. The spring rolls were just OK, nothing special. I was a little disappointed that when I got back to the hotel and took a sip of my tea, the lady hab accidentally refilled my drink with unsweetened tea.

Very disappointed, but going to start with the good! We ordered takeout and it was ready within 15 min, easy to order and repated our order back on the phone. The staff were super friendly, and the price was excellent for the portions as seen in the picture! The disappointing part comes to the food itself. The top meal was supposed to be Pad See Ew and the bottom was Drunken Noodles. The Pad See Ew was just not See Ew at all, zero of that deep sweet rich soy flavor (which can be seen in the picture that it's not brown). It was spicy like I asked, but it just had no sauce on the noodles. The same for the drunken noodles, it was described to me as "cheap lo mein" that was just bland and not like other drunken noodles he's had before. Really wanted to like here since the price was good, portions fair, and service quick and friendly, but the search for good Thai in Charleston continues...

Was in Charleston for an overnite stay only and decided to eat some Thai food. This was down the street from our hotel. We arrived for early dinner and they weren’t busy at the time. The food was tasty although my Pad Thai w/ Tofu could use more tamarind flavor. Everything else was on point flavor wise - house special fried rice, spicy Pad See Ew, Crab Rangoon and chicken wings. Portion size was good and can be shared with one other person. They’re located in a small strip mall near the Tanger Outlet. Location is convenient and the servers were very helpful and friendly.

Two of us ate here last night and we won’t be going back or recommending this establishment. Both the food and service were horrible. We like to order one course at a time starting with appetizers, then soup, then entree and usually end with dessert. This way our courses never cross paths on the table leaving one to wait while we finish the previous dish. We typically spend over $70 when we visit a Thai restaurant which isn’t the most two people could spend, but it’s enough to make us loyal repeat customers if we like a place. Once the waitress found out we were ordering this way we were treated like we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. Very cold and rude treatment was felt across our table. The Fresh Shrimp and Basil rolls weren’t wrapped tight and fell apart as they were being eaten which is a disappointment. They served them with a sweet peanut sauce and when we asked for a different sauce the waitress didn’t even seem interested in helping us with choices that might be similar to a sauce we described for her. I don’t know if she didn’t know how to handle this situation, or was just plain rude. Either way she could’ve at least faked being friendly and we would’ve been happier. The shrimp lettuce wraps were pretty good but then the soup reminded me of the bottom of the pot with an over abundance of bay leaves that had collected on the bottom. When we finally decided we would order an entree and the waitress came back to our table cold and rude, I finally asked her what did we do wrong to offend her. I said “you have seemed cold and uninterested in us since we first ordered different than most customers might order”. I reminded her that we did in fact explain to her this would be how we ordered when we first started out. We opted out of spending any more time or money here and didn’t order entrees. We just paid our tab only to leave and eat at a different Thai restaurant. When we first walked up to the door at Thai East Fusion I pointed out to my spouse that no one else was inside on a Saturday night and hoped this wasn’t a bad sign. Now I know I should’ve taken this bad sign and ran with it. Definitely a Saturday night downer. Good thing for the other establishment because we we able to go home with a smile after the big let down at Thai...

I wish I could give zero stars.I ordered chicken red curry for today . I’m used to eating authentic curry; so I kindly asked to not have babycorn, egggplant, and chestnuts in it. I placed my order over the phone and the cashier repeated it back correctly. I paid with cash assuming my order was made correctly , it wasn’t until I got home when I realized it had chestnuts.I immediately called and politely asked for and refund if I brought the food back. The cashier said it would be fine. When I arrived the cook was waiting at the counter. The cook quickly opened the bag and began speaking her native language aggressively! She was apparently mad and I assume was trying to convince the other employees that I had ate some of the food ( I only ate one egg roll on the way home). So I kindly asked the English speaking cashier if there was problem and she insisted it wasn’t. The cook returned to the kitchen and began arguing with the manager. I felt really uncomfortable and frustrated. Not once did the manager come and speak to me. This whole experience was unprofessional and could have been handled better! So I decided to leave. I didn’t get my money back which is the only thing they cared about!Customer service should be the main focus. Don’t WASTE you’re time with this place!!!There are plenty of authentic Thai restaurants in Charleston that value their customers, instead of just testing them...

was in town and wanted to try a Thai Restaurant out... Let me start this off by saying.. DO NOT GO HERE!! no Staff was working on a Saturday.. the lady taking the order didn't understand half of what we order... the Boba Tea taste like no Boba tea I have ever had... she brought out the wrong entrée of food and then try to ask if we will just take it and substitute it for our other entrée. Ended up charging us for the wrong food that she brought out... We ask for Siracha sauce and she brought out cut up cilantro because she didn't understand and we got charge for the cilantro and we ask and she said it is only $2 is cheap anyway. The Sapparo Beer was Warm as it could be and she would not swap them out for cold ones in the fridge.. the AC was hardly on and everyone was sweating.... I can keep on going with more terrible services but DO NOT Attend this restaurant... FOR the price they are charging for these plate of foods... it is not up to the...
