Warning LONG REVIEW|But cannot recommend this hotel so highly without it! If you don’t want to read it all, at least skip to the part about Kevin and Gavin mid paragraph.||We stayed in a standard king room with a mini fridge and microwave. Our stay was excellent! The hotel was clean, the breakfast buffet is great with lots of options. Their coffee machine is great! Grinds the coffee beans and brews your cup when you are ready for it instead of sitting in a pot all morning! And it’s NOT kept in a carafe to stay lukewarm. The pool, hot tub and workout area are very nice. The area was safe and we did not experience any concerns for the safety of our things, our car or ourselves. The bed was very comfy. The room was spacious and cozy.|But let me tell you about Kevin and Gavin. The hotel manager Kevin was so helpful and extremely accommodating. We are IHG members so on the day of our check out we requested a late check out of 2pm. My husband and I were in town for the weekend to help out with a huge Elevation Church outreach weekend. On our check out day, we were serving at the Gaillard center and things were going longer than we had anticipated. We are cyclist training for a huge cross country bike race and were traveling from the mountains in NC where we had done some cycling training. So, we had our very expensive bikes with us. We did not want to leave them on the back of our car the whole time we were going to be serving at the Gaillard center so we decided to leave the bikes in our hotel room thinking we would be able to get back to the hotel by 2pm to load them up and head home. When I realized that we were not going to make it by 2 and that we were most likely going to be MUCH later than we thought, we decided to just stay another night. When I called Kevin and explained everything he immediately began helping me navigate my way through extending our stay and insuring that he would instruct housekeeping that we would not be checking out that day and that our room was to remain untouched. He gave me peace of mimd that everything was taken care of. And when we finally did arrive around 5 that day Kevin was already gone for the day. ||BUT Gavin was at the front desk. Gavin was amazing as well! There were two guys truing to check into the hotel and were apparently here for some|type of construction work. Their company card was not pre-authorized so it required Gavin to make a couple of phone calls to get authorization, both men gave him a bit of grief, but Gavin handled it with humility and very professional. When it came time for him|to check us back in, he was very well versed in our situation and began the check-in process. He ran into an issue he wasn’t sure how to navigate through, but he immediately apologized, explained this was only his second week at work and needed to call his manager. Which he did. He called Kevin, who was able to walk him through exactly what he needed to do and we were all set within a few minutes. Gavin was under some pressure by the guys before us and the customer that came in behind us, BUT HE HANDLED IT ALL SO VERY WELL! He was a very polite young man who was intent on doing a great job serving everyone.|I know this is a long post, but we do not give enough praise or recognition to those who do a good job. Often times it is easy to get on a review and post all the things that were wrong or inconvenienced us, but there are still good people trying to do a good job in the service industry… AND AT THIS HOTEL YOU WILL FIND KEVIN AND GAVIN TO BE SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE! |Highly recommend this hotel and we will be staying here when we are in the...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews. But, after searching and searching for a hotel for our one night stay, we found this gem! We aren’t from here, so location was important. We definitely needed somewhere safe and comfortable!
Location: We are literally minutes from the Tanger Outlets, as well as many, many restaurants and other shopping centers. The area is clean and well lit at night. We definitely feel safe here!
Check-in: I didn’t catch the ladies name, but she was amazing. Very friendly and got us checked in very quickly. She explained all of the amenities and where things were. Even gave us 2 free bottles of water. Super professional!
The premises: The lobby and breakfast area along with the elevator and halls were all immaculate! Very clean and well kept. Outside there’s a very nice size patio with lots of patio chairs and tables. Everything was clean and smelled really fresh and clean.
Amenities: Lots of snacks and drinks right off of the side of the front desk. Completely stocked and well organized. Lots of choices! They even had ice cream, tv dinners and other microwaveable dinners. There’s a beautiful indoor pool AND HOTTUB that’s lit up blue. Very nice ambiance. Again, very clean and well kept. There’s also a nice gym! We didn’t use either of these since we got in so late, but we’re really impressed in how clean everything was!
Last but definitely NOT least, our room: As soon as we opened the door, the first thing we noticed was how ABSOLUTELY great it smelled. Not a single weird odor or foul smell. It smelled like fresh linen and baby powder or something. Idk but it was nice to walk into whatever the smell was. We had a king bed. It was made very nicely with 4 nice sized pillows. Embroidered on all 4 pillow cases were either “Soft” or “Firm” which I thought was a nice touch. The linens were all white and very, very clean. Two cute reading lights were on either side of the bed. There was a nice mini sectional. One side was the size of a normal living room chair, the other was a chaise lounge. Super comfy! All tables, desks and end tables were very clean and not scratched up or damaged. There was a nice keurig, and a total of 4 nice lamps as well as a microwave and a hidden mini fridge. There was a NICE 55 inch LG tv. Probably the biggest I’ve ever seen in a hotel lol. It had DirectTV. The bathroom was remarkably clean! Even in the crevices (yes I checked on the sides of the toilet lol). I was so happy. Bc who wants to shower in a gross looking bathroom?? There are bottles of DOVE shampoo, conditioner and body wash (not those lil cheap bar soaps and generic body washes and shampoo and conditioner).
Overall, I can’t stress enough how CLEAN this hotel was. Every single part. And although they are renovating, it wasn’t a mess and u otherwise wouldn’t know if they didn’t have it posted. I’d recommend this 1000 times over! And I wish I could give it more...
Read moreI have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past nearly two years. Every time at this hotel, including my most recent time, has been phenomenal and nearly perfect. I have left numerous glowing rave reviews and successfully brought many new guests to this hotel who would have otherwise stayed elsewhere. What made this hotel stand out and better than any other hotel around: the free 24/7/366, local area shuttle with a five mile radius of the hotel. It was amazing, incredible, phenomenal, and invaluable. Luckily, that shuttle was available during my most recent stay. However, all of this is changing 10/1/2024. Starting 10/1/2024, the shuttle will only go to the airport, the convention center, and locations within a half-mile radius of the hotel. This hotels crowning jewel, the free 5-mile area shuttle will be gone. This is a suicide move for the hotel. With this change, there is no reason to stay at this hotel and numerous reasons to stay at other area hotels. There are other hotels in the area that still have a free 5- mile radius local area shuttle (even though their hours are more limited). I highly recommend anyone who is considering staying at this hotel including past guest to research other hotels in the area with a free 5-mile (or greater) radius local area shuttles and stay there instead. I would like to name those hotels but the review rules prohibit me from mentioning them by name. I expect regular customers at this hotel will start staying at other area hotels with free 5-mile radius local area shuttles. This hotel is going to lose lots of business. I don't expect this hotel to be around much longer. This is really sad. This is truly a suicide move. I really hope the management reconsiders this really...
