Ordered the Mac and cheese it was disgusting sent it back and they refused to take it off the bill after accepting that we said bad customer service the owner started attacking my wife verbally. Bad service and bad food go somewhere else I asked the owner was it called for what he did he said probably not
No one was rude to you or your miserable servers way over priced and lying dirt bags this only confirms what I’ve said in this review my wife only said that you had bad customer service when you refused to take off the cost and started to attack us . One day you’ll meet God and he will deal with you
I just read your response wow ! What a nice place for people to do business with , after you started yelling at my family I got upset and said I’m about to leave and not pay at all and you said go ahead I’ll call the police . All of this for two slices of pizza a small bowl of Mac and cheese and a salad almost 50.00 what a joke. I wonder how much income you claim with the i.r.s maybe they need a call . Also if you don’t take down the defamatory remarks about my family I’ll file a lawsuit against you . I’m not playing around here chief your move
(Back yelps al ₴ (53 Roma Pizza Billy G. Updated over 3 years ago I'm updating my review 4 days later because as a business owner myself I understand the importance of reviews and I really don't want to cause someone a sleepless night over an isolated incident, but however as I mentioned earlier the food was fine it was the poor attitude the owner gave my wife that upset me...the 1 star rating i gave earlier I feel was a bit harsh but I stand firm on my review. am assuming the man has not yet seen this because by now I'm assuming he would have reached out and accepted some responsibility and offered an apology. My personal experience should not sway you from having a good slice of pizza but think twice if you plan on dining in with a stroller. Brad D. Business Owner Billy G, I tried to reply after your review, I couldn't reply to yelp reviews until now. I remember you, wife and toddler. My staff explained the stroller won't fit and it is a fire Hazzard to block the isle. Your wife kindly told you to eat with your son, and she would take a stroll in boardwalk until you were done. We thanked you as you left, nothing negative at that time, and definitely no bad attitude on my end Not sure why you felt the need to post a negative review because your Cadillac of a stroller wouldn't fit in the store! Maybe you were just having a bad day Hopefully you are doing better! Previous review over 3 years ago The pizza was good, slightly above average at Best
This is a review from another customer this guy speaks bad about people’s wives a lot...
Read moreQuick Take - Winner of our 4 person pizza tasting on the boardwalk. Go there to try the best pizza on the boardwalk.
Details - Roma Pizza, on 6th and Boardwalk was the last stop in our four person pizza tasting tour on 8/22. We hit six places during the tour and Roma came out on top, as the best. Two judges rated it their solid number one, and two gave it their number two slot (missing their number one slot by the smallest of margins).
What we all liked--the sauce! Everyone loved the sauce. It was tasty, slightly sweet, and dominated the slice in a good way. But pizza is not just the sauce...it's the sauce, cheese and crust. They need to work in unison, and at Roma, most of us thought pizza needed a bit more cheese to balance out the sauce properly. And when we say a bit, we mean a bit.
And what separated the judges in their final decision was crust preference. Two of the judges liked the lightly cooked, pale crust with a slightly charred bottom, whereas two would have preferred a more well baked crust with more crunch and a deeper charred taste.
The slices we received were decent sized, reheated slices (as most are on the boardwalk), and cost $3.25 each, which is a little high. On the other hand, it is a very good pizza, and they probably better ingredients than other shops.
We also like that it appeared to be a small family run business. Unlike most other boardwalk pizza places, Roma is not a chain, or institutionalized operation. And the owner is proud of his operation, so proud in fact, when he realized we were on a taste testing tour he gave us piping hot fresh slices right out of the oven to compare to the previous slices we ate. Free pizza! Nothing wrong with that.
As we ate the second slices, the owner told us about his operation and his procedure of throwing away pies after a couple of hours on a slow day. No old stale pizzas sitting around all day waiting for customers at Roma.
So how did the fresh out-of-the-oven pizza compare to the original reheated slices? It was hotter, fresher and the cheese was more fluid and melted, but again it came down to the crust. And for most of us, we like the extra crispiness a reheat gives to a slice. So, it was better, but not remarkably better. But keep in mind, we did not judge Roma on the second slice, or take into consideration the free slices we received. It earned its high marks as the best on the boards because it is a better pizza...
Read moreI’m just getting around to posting this review, but a good business should always be praised. My family was there May 28th 2023 (husband, our (almost) four year old daughter, our 1.5 year old daughter, and myself).
First, I want to recognize the staff there. They were all so pleasant. We were politely told our double stroller could not come in (understandably because 1. It was Memorial Day weekend and 2. It’s bulky we understand that it is not only for fire safety, but it is not safe for the staff or other customers). They also (without us asking) had the girls’ pizza slices out of the oven before ours so that they were still warm, but not scolding hot. They also offered to cut the girls’ slices for us, which is unbelievably sweet because any parent knows cutting pizza with a plastic knife is pretty tough. The staff is awesome and friendly.
Now onto the food. We only ordered plain slices but, the pizza was amazing. The thin crust, sauce, and cheese ratio was perfect. My 4 year old is very picky with her pizza and she ate a whole slice! (I should note she does not like Manco Manco Pizza or Preps at all so if that’s any telling where you rank on her list). We also heard the meatballs are really good there and my youngest is a meatball connoisseur so when we come back we will definitely order a side of meatballs to try. Thank you again for the great time. We look forward to more...
