Justifiably priced! Attention to the little details, coupled with savory touches, made this place my new favorite breakfast location. Both indoor and outdoor seating!
It is Downtown, parking was a little challenging even durin a non-busy Saturday morning. Not a hit on the locale just noting for planning ahead. The interior is well illuminated, with plenty of light and windows surrounding the main eating area. This could be a plus if you don’t mind being seen by random walking stangers. Not a hit again, but if you’re planning on a more private dining experience, you may want to reconsider.
The Krispy Yukon Gold Potatoes: Cooked to a nice crispy crunch on the outside with a soft tasty inside, the outside was a little too salty at time because of the thicker salt however Not too bad.
Scrambled Egg Pastrami Sandwich: The bun did not impress me, seemed just like any purchased one however, the fact that it’s a little sweet, offset the pastrami and compliments it well. The Avocado sitting on top was perfect, cut thick enough to squeeze down into the sandwich to surround the egg but not intervene with the pastrami. The egg was well prepared not heavily easoned, PERFECT texture and flavor. The pastrami was very tender, juicy, just spicy enough and not too salty... one of the common mistkaes sometimes done with pastrami. Spicy majo at the bottom, perfect place and amout to compliment and solidify a great breakfast sandwich.
Side of bacon: Amazing. Thicker cut, smoky flavor, perfect mix of crunch, meat, and fat. Found a small hint of sweet on some which kept my taste buds guessing.
Expresso: I sampled their espresso. A blend from Guatemala, Brasil, and Ethiopia. This was interesting, it was bitter, somewhat salty, and it really stimulated my taste buds but with a Coffee bean original presence. I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing to be honest. I finished it...I actually enjoyed it. It really provided a new dimension to their drinks such as their cappuccino, and some of their menu coffees.
Spiced Cappuccino with Praire Wolf Dark Liquor: This item is not on the menu, it was a waiter suggestion (Zach). The espresso beans really did their job on this one! The taste was amazing and so was the presentation! I love the fact that they went with a local Oklahoma liquor selection. Really good way to promote uniqueness.
Coffee: Lacked a little flavor, a little too watery for my personal taste. Nothing too impressing compared to their expreso.
Chocolate Raspberry Jonut: YES, Jonut, not donut. A 3-dimensional experience. The outside was crunchy, fried lightly to perfection with a tasty whipped cream topping and a raspberry on top. The inside... oh boy! I would describe the inside texture as a halfway point between a donut and a croissant thst just melts in your mouth. Add a creamy tasty homemaker raspberry cream filling (with real raspberries inside) to it to crown this one as the best donut I’ve had im years!!!!
Silverware, plates, glasses, tables, floor, and cloth napkins were spotless and super clean. Except the coffe cups, those don’t get the same TLC that the rest of do... I initially thought there was lack of detail, but then I realized in a sense, it gives it that touch of humbleness. Most of us enjoy a cup of coffee no matter if we are rich or poor fancy or simple.
Restrooms: One toilet for everyone?! Super clean, up to date with a good clean smell!
Staff: Super friendly, not too intrusively attentive which I enjoy. Attentive to my needs, knowledgeable on the menus. They had 3 menus: main dishes, drinks, coffee! However, all the menus were really well balanced, easy to understand, and not incredibly overwhelming. The fact that the menus are printouts inside protective folders lets me know that they update the menu regularly.
I don’t “hand out 5 stars” unless this place truly is amongst the best. With that, please note that whatever rating I give is honest and grounded. If I give 3 stars, its good. If I give 4, it’s really good. This restaurant is close to 5 stars, 4.6...
Read moreThe short and sweet: Drinks and food had potential, but missed the mark a little, lacked refinement. Atmosphere is tasteful, but a little cramped. Service was very friendly, but the timing of food and drink delivery to our table was disappointing. Three and a half stars for our first time here.
Drinks: We started out by ordering two coffee drinks (cortado and caramel latte) and two cocktails (bloody mary and the lunchbox). The cortado was good. The caramel latte was good enough, but was a little flat on flavor, lacked depth. Both totally acceptable for being primarily a breakfast restaurant though, not a craft coffee shop. The bloody mary was great, but lacking in garnishes. The lunchbox was very good, nice balance of flavors. Drinks: 7.5-8/10
Food: We ordered the smoked salmon, fried green tomato benedict, and fresh berries. The smoked salmon ratios were way off--it was a very generous portion (heap) of cold smoked salmon on just a thin piece of toast that quickly became soggy underneath. I've definitely had better, it was unbalanced. The inclusion of roe on top was a nice touch, though. The eggs on the benedict were cooked perfectly. The potatoes with both were decent, but the chunks were a bit bigger than they needed to be. We would've liked different options for the sides rather than the potatoes, which weren't anything special. The fresh berries were good, but the small cup was nowhere near $4 worth. Nothing was distinctly bad, but the food overall lacked the refinement you'd expect at a place like this. Food: 7/10
Service: Our waitress (Katie) was very sweet and friendly, if not a bit extra and over the top, but we appreciated her. She made us feel welcome, made it a memorable experience, and helped with recommendations. The biggest issue with our service, and unforgivable in my opinion, was their order of operations was off. We received our cocktails before our coffee, which is okay. However, our coffee (which took a very long time) didn't come until we were several bites into our food. That's just unacceptable and it's service basics, even at casual dining: Drinks before food, always (especially when they're ordered well before the food). This was the main factor that took my overall rating down from four stars to three. Service: 6/10.
Overall, we weren't disappointed in trying this place out. There were enough aspects that we enjoyed to make it mostly worth it. But would we come back? Would we recommend it to others? Not sure the answer is yes to either of those questions. The failure on a service basic, and the lack of refinement on the food and drinks at this price point, just takes it down a bit. It could've...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Kitchen 324 today while in town for work, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and exceptional service. My server, Justin, truly made the experience stand out. He was incredibly attentive, making sure I was well taken care of throughout my visit. When I initially asked for lemonade, which wasn’t on the menu, I opted for still water. But a few minutes later, Justin surprised me with a refreshing glass of freshly made lemonade—he had gone the extra mile to prepare it himself, and I was so appreciative of the thoughtful gesture.
For lunch, I ordered the BLT, and it did not disappoint. The thick-cut bacon was cooked to perfection, complemented by roasted tomatoes and crisp lettuce, all nestled between two slices of sourdough bread. I’m not a fan of avocados, so I asked for them to be omitted, and Justin was more than accommodating, saying, “No problem. Whatever you like.” The fries on the side were crispy and seasoned with fresh herbs, served with a tangy dipping sauce that added a nice touch. To top it all off, I was treated to an apple fritter, which was a delightful sweet finish to my meal.
I also had the chance to meet one of the managers, Joe, who was just as friendly and dedicated as the rest of the team. He was actively working, helping seat guests, clearing tables, and ensuring everyone was satisfied. It was clear that the staff works seamlessly together to create a positive dining environment.
The atmosphere at Kitchen 324 was another highlight. The restaurant has a clean, bright, and modern yet cozy vibe that feels perfect for a relaxed brunch or a leisurely meal. It’s inviting and aesthetically pleasing, making it a great place to spend time enjoying good food.
One thing that really stood out to me was how much Kitchen 324 values its people. In chatting with Justin, I learned that Kitchen 324 is part of the "Good Egg Dining" group, which truly emphasizes hospitality. From what I gathered, they make sure both their employees and guests feel well cared for, fostering a sense of community and genuine human connection.
All in all, my visit to Kitchen 324 was a fantastic dining experience. From the excellent service to the delicious food and warm atmosphere, I will certainly be returning on my next trip. I highly recommend others give it a...
