I have been an APMEX customer for over 15 years. They went from being the industry standard to an irresponsible and dangerous (for the customer) box store.
The lead times between when you send payments by wire and when they claim to receive them has inexplicably widened.
Their claimed shipping dates never match with actual shipping dates for products 'in stock' - a bad sign in the industry.
They are totally uninterested in holding the inept USPS, which they insist on using instead of UPS as in the past, accountable. My last two packages: one was 'attempted delivery' while everyone was home, but no note left. The other was sent all the way to Guam where it sat for more than a week. How does that even happen? APMEX doesn't want to know.
3 of my last 5 packages have shipped without any shipping tracking whatsoever. This is totally unacceptable. When I contacted customer service, they said: Talk to Walmart. I'm sorry. WHAT? What is Walmart doing handling a package I bought through my APMEX account on the APMEX website? And apparently APMEX CS doesn't even have access to the tracking? This is in violation of their stated policies to always provide a tracking number, by the way. I don't buy precious metals thru Walmart because I'm not an idiot and Walmarts PM business is riddled with Chinese fakes. Why is APMEX now apparently a subsidiary of Walmart? Who can say - they sure don't.

There was a problem with delivery that was NOT my fault, so I contacted Apmex/Walmart and was told that they would investigate. They contacted me back and said that they would take care of my order. I've talked with customer service several times and Apmex and they told me the same thing. I've contacted apmex EVERY week since then and they keep telling me that their shipping dept will be contacting me. It's now Jan 12th, 2023 and I still have NOT heard from Apmex shipping dept. I thought that they would take care of this but I'm beginning to have doubts. I don't want a refund. I want the coins I ORDERED. These are supposed to be GOOD coins, NOT TRASH COINS according to their advertisement. That's why I ordered them and because of Apmex's reputation of taking care of their customers. I wanted to keep this problem between Apmex and myself but since they can't respond to this problem, and it's been over a month I have decided that others needs to know that there's problems in Apmex/Walmart. I'm still hoping that Apmex takes care of this so I can continue to purchase from them. I've always heard good things about Apmex and if this is taken care of, I'll give a good review as well.
