Full disclosure I did not take this tour. Though I did help a customer of this tour. On Saturday 06/15/25 my cousins and I were launching our own paddle boards and kayaks while a tour of about 20 were also launching at the same time. While we were getting our boards out we over heard this lady screaming for help and waving her hands. She had fell out of her kayak and was hanging on the side terrified. She tried to wave at her guide Ian but I jumped on my paddle board and went out to help her. We managed to get her on my board and take her to shore and retrieve her kayak. While this was all going on her tour group was maybe 2-3000 feet away out of shouting distance. The guide obviously did not do a head count or realize that she could have been drowning and left her. We offered to take her with us and maybe 20 mins later her guide has finally realized he was missing a person and was paddling back shouting that âthey were already 20-30 mins behind, I had come back all the way for you and I left the rest of group.â âI donât think I can haul you back, maybe you can join the 2:30 tour?â I was upset for her and I told him you just left her and she could have been in big trouble. He just ignored what I said. I then asked if she could join us since he had to get back to the group he had left. And he saidâ I mean yeah itâs basically just a rental nowâ. I was just shocked how he did not even apologize to her or ask her if she was okay. If the group he was handling was too large maybe this company needs to have a cap on how many people they bring. I would not recommend going with this company if you want to have a safe experience. I hope they gave her a full refund for her traumatic experience. I am glad we were able to help her have a great day in the canyon. We ended up having lunch with her and during that time another guide showed up and offered to tow her the rest of the way. We said our goodbyes. They need to retrain their Guide Ian and take responsibility for leaving someone in danger. I would feel horrible if I was in her situation and this was her first experience kayaking. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND...

We had such an amazing experience with WazSUP Kayaks, not just because of the beautiful adventure, but because of the incredible people who work there, including the owners!
When we arrived, Jaren greeted us so warmly. He took the time to ask about us, made sure we had everything we needed (even extra water to be safe), and gave clear, helpful instructions. He went above and beyond, helping us carry the kayaks down the hill to launch even though the dam had taken some of the water that day, so we had to launch off to the side instead of the regular boat launch.
When we finished our kayaking trip, a new team member (a friendly blonde guy) immediately helped my husband bring one of the kayaks up the hill. Then Jaren, after finishing up helping another couple, came over and rescued my husband by hauling up not only our kayak but another customerâs at the same time! That was such a huge help, especially since we had made the rookie mistake of wearing flip-flops, which were not ideal for the sandy, slippery hill.
They didnât stop thereâŚthey checked in with us afterward to make sure we had a great time, reminded us to grab everything out of our wet bag, and wished us a warm farewell.
But what truly blew us away was what happened next. We realized we had locked our keys in our rental car and our phone battery was down to 5%. Even though they were closing up for the day, they let us charge our phone while continuing their cleanup. When it became clear that no locksmiths were available nearby that evening, they went way above and beyond. They drove us to their main kayak storage site, where we met the owners who kindly offered to drive us all the way back to our hotel.
We were absolutely touched by their kindness, generosity, and genuine care. This kind of service and human warmth is rare these days, and weâll never forget it.
Thank you so much to Jaren, the whole team, and the wonderful owners at WazSUP Kayaks, you turned what could have been a stressful situation into a reminder of how good people can be. We canât recommend this company...
Read moreOne of of their "busiest days of the year" on Memorial Day Weekend, Bill, Ian and the rest of the staff at WazSUP made sure that we had a fantastic day. Totally worth the money and time. One of the best experiences AZ has to offer.
We enjoyed a truly, once-in-a-lifetime, intra generational paddle to antelope canyon. Everything was fully set up and organized upon our arrival. Bill accommodated our request for a few single kayaks and a double. After launching, it was a leisurely paddle to the canyon. We arrived at antelope canyon and dragged our kayaks away from the river. And, after getting squared away, hiked up the canyon. Our guide knew where to get the best photos, how to adjust the camera settings for best shots and, most important, patiently shared the canyon's natural history and all about the local flora and fauna as well as the local area. It was really the perfect day.
And, just to make it a little more interesting, we (temporarilly) lost our car keys. The staff was extremely helpful and patient by first making sure that we were OK, then making sure that we connected with our car rental company and asked the right questions and, after everything had been set up, drove us to the "cart service" to get to the marina and restaurant. Bill's wife also showed up to help out by driving part of our large group. And, after we had accepted the loss associated with replacing the keys, Bill showed up because the keys had been found. My point is that, even on his "busiest day," Bill, his family and staff ensured that we had the most conceivably positive...
