Went for a 1 hr Manual Lymph Drainage massage - costs 50% more than a regular massage but as I was hoping to address some post surgical swelling (surgery was 8 months ago but still have some swelling), I figured it was worth it. Masseur didn't speak much english so it was hard to describe exactly what I wanted him to work on. The technique & pressure while he was working on my back was OK but not much done in the area that I wanted targeted. When he asked me to turn over, he spent the rest of the time gently stroking my chest and arms... pleasant but not a massage by any stretch of the imagination. Ended up being quite disappointed considering the additional cost involved. Response to Owners reply: Since my massage I have researched various MLD techniques on Youtube by therapists CERTIFIED in MLD - what I received doesn’t come close. He spent about 3 minutes total doing a pulling stroke on my left torso (the area of interest) but that was it, he never came back to it. This motion should have been repeated over the course of an hour. He did it while I was lying face down and basically pulled the lymph onto my back - he should have done upward strokes to move the lymph into the axillary nodes. The stroking he did while I was face up was too light to move any lymph - there needs to be some pressure particularly at the start of the stroke. He was just gliding his hands over my body and it was also not directed towards the axillary nodes - it was sensual but not therapeutic. There is no information on the website about the massage therapists. Are they certified? How much experience do they have? This guy for sure did not do his massage training in the US as his poor command of english would have precluded that. So how did he get certified in MLD massage? Very few places actually offer this specialized massage. I will continue watching videos and train myself to do this using my right hand - won’t be as effective as having a professional doing it but in this case, I’ll...

My husband and I booked a couples massage here after finding the spa through a Google search. We were looking for a relaxing and de-stressing experience and that’s exactly what we got. Cody the manager was exceptional with confirmations and pre-session information, and our masseurs Owen and Martin were just fantastic.

It’s always a hit or miss with seeing a new therapist who doesn’t know your quirks or special needs therapeutically. Both my husband and I were so pleased with how well Owen and Martin intuitively knew where we needed more or less attention. From start to finish the amount of pressure and time spent on each area was just perfect!!! The atmosphere was very zen - calm and quiet, clean, and lighted perfectly.

Like many others we have received massages from all sorts of therapists. But this was without a doubt the best session we have ever had!! And I don’t say that lightly! It was refreshing, calming, and just made us so relaxed overall.
