Eating at the Original Las Casuelas restaurant was the worst restaurant experience we've ever had. There were three in our party and they sat us down but we didn't see anyone again for at least 15 minutes, and it was hot outside and so we wanted water but couldn't get anyone during that 15 minutes. Finally the waitress showed up and took our order. That's when we finally got some water and chips/salsa. We waited a very long time for the food and when it did, the waitress only brought one person's order. Then 5 - 10 later another plate showed up, and then another 5 - 10 minutes my meal showed up. By that point I was irritated and cancelled my order telling the waitress that ALL of our food should be delivered at the same time, not ten minutes apart. I asked two people to get the manager for me but the manager never showed up.
Each time the waitress brought water or our food plates, she just dropped it loudly on our table without looking at us and then left right away. She wasn't mad at us because nothing had really been said to each other, she was just moving fast, dropped the drinks/food down hard, and left each time.
We saw the busboy cleaning table and he just wiped all of the chips and table mess on to the booth chairs and the floor leaving a huge mess everywhere. So the next customer coming to that table would have had a mess all over their seats and the floor around the booth.
In the bathroom the soap dispenser was full but they had it set so low that almost no soap came out. I had to hold my hand under it 8 times just to barely get enough soap to wash my hands. Most people, including their cooks, are probably not going to stand there and try to get enough soap over and over again until they get enough soap to clean their hands before going back to work preparing our food.
Although this was our first time at this location, we've been to the Las Casuelas Terraza many times over the years and we've never had a problem at the other location but the owners of Las Casuelas should be ashamed of themselves for allowing one of their restaurant to be so bad. It reflects poorly on them and all of their...
Read more⭐ 1 Star (I would give 0 if I could) I had dinner at Los Consuelo’s Original Palm Springs last night with a family member, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The staff was rude, clearly understaffed, and seemed to take their frustrations out on customers.
When we arrived, the hostess ignored us for five minutes before curtly telling us, “there was a wait.” Once we were finally seated, our server, Delia (according to the receipt), was rushed and impatient. She dropped off chips and salsa without any napkins, and when I politely asked for them, she said she’d bring some but never did. I ended up having to get up and retrieve napkins and silverware myself from her station, where they were sitting out in the open, completely exposed and unsanitary.
The lack of cleanliness and professionalism was shocking. By the time we had utensils, one of my family member’s meals was already cold. When I asked for that meal to be comped, Delia was visibly upset, blamed my family member for finishing the cold food (only because she was hungry), and gave us attitude instead of resolving the issue respectfully.
The manager eventually agreed to take care of the meal, but Delia’s behavior continued—she gave us dirty looks and stomped away to the back. Her hostility and lack of basic customer service skills were unacceptable.
I’ve worked in the service industry before and understand how stressful it can be, but that’s no excuse to treat customers rudely or neglect cleanliness and basic courtesy. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, and we will never return. By the way, I always Over Tip my servers by 25% most likely a 50% tip and this was the first time I left zero! This place has seen better...
Read moreService was great, very friendly and fast service. It was a group of us, ordered different things off the menu. Margaritas were very weak, Chile relleno I felt like I was eating a cheese omelette way to much egg, the fried ground beef taco had good flavor but as you took each bite a ton of grease dripped off the meat. The bacon "burger" was served on white sandwich bread, the carne asada burrito was 90% everything else 10% carne asada. Last but not least the 5 dollar tamales are defetnelety not worth eating, even if I get them for free. The masa was dry, no flavor whatsoever and it had a weird "old" taste like they made them a long time ago... a friend was considering getting a few of dozen tamales for her upcoming holiday party(35.00 dollars per dozen I think that's ridiculous) but she wasn't concerned about the price after she had a taste, she will not order them for sure. It's a shame, I wasn't expecting authentic Mexican food but at least ok food. The most disappointing part was the tamales, I hope the quality and flavors of the food...
