As a multiple small business owner myself, I find it very difficult to write negative reviews for other businesses as I understand that things can go wrong. The one thing that there is never a good excuse for is bad customer service. It shows a lack of attention and caring on the staff and a complete lack of management. Here was my experience last night at Turner's. I walked in around 5:45pm on 8/19 and there were approximately 5 customers at the handgun counter. I was there to purchase a pistol that I have been wanting (around $1500.00) for some time. There was a woman at the cash register also. This is the first time I've been to this location. The place looked clean and orderly and by the looks of it, well stocked. I walked over to the gun counter and started to look at the displays. Other customers were being attended to so I thought I would browse the pistols till someone helped me. A few minutes go by and a couple of the customers that were being helped were now leaving. I was never greeted or told to hang on or anything. Now there are only a few customers (I'm one of them). One of the workers (a large guy in a red shirt) starts calling out numbers. No one has a number and we kind of just look at each other. I say out loud "I didn't know we needed to take a number. No one said anything". The large guy just looks at me for a second, doesn't say anything to me as I go over to the machine to pull a number. He then calls to another customer who doesn't have a number "can I help you?". I'm thinking to myself "are you kidding me?". So now I keep waiting and still, I'm not acknowledged and have never had 1 person say anything to me. I'm just standing there still waiting as workers walk back and forth near me. At one point, I take out a large amount of cash and place it on the counter hoping someone would say something like "Can I help you?". Nothing. I put my money away. Said goodbye to the pistol I was there to buy, put my useless paper number on the keyboard of their computer at the counter and start to walk out. No one says a word to me. I understand that I don't stick out being that I'm 6'5" 255lbs (yes, that's sarcasm). I almost walk out and then I stop. I walk over to the woman at the register and ask "Is there a manager here?". She tells me that the guy in the black shirt is the manager. One of the same workers who kept walking right by me like I wasn't there. I told her that I've come in tonight to purchase a pistol and not 1 person even acknowledged my existence. The place was very slow with only a couple of customers in the building. I told her that I will take my business somewhere else and I walked out. I do hope that the higher ups read this and watch the video. Watch how you just lost not only a $1500.00 sale but, a future customer as well. I've been going to Turner's for nearly 30 years and I've never had such bad service at any other location.    Read moreThis Turner's has a light selection of fire arms to choose from I had the pleasure of meeting several of the managers at this establishment and I can only say 2 of them were great there's approximately 4 to 5 managers at this establishment and they all suck I don't think you should let kids work in a establishment like this because they lack Knowledge of the firearms them Selves the manager from this establishment told me I needed California compliant parts first before selling it to them I was told I needed to add a paddle kydex I did came back to the establishment to sell the fire arm I was Denied then I was informed that I had to add a muzzle brake because they were not sure of the muzzle brake that was on it already I complied spent more money adding the muzzle break came back to the establishment to sell the fire arm and was rejected again I don't think they're knowledgeable enough and I'm not being rude toward the employees there I'm just speaking the truth They made me feel like I had stole something or broke the law in some shape form or fashion I was very uncomfortable shopping at this establishment Like I said only a few of the employees there made me feel welcomed and did all they could Danny great manager the young lady with the glasses I'm not sure of her name she's a great manager the Caucasian gentleman with the blonde short hair and blue eyes don't know his name great salesperson the new employee the young Hispanic guy great person The rest made me feel as if I was a criminal and when Danny was not at the establishment I would get treated like trash. 1st experience: I want to start bird hunting so I went in to look at shotguns. I was shown a Benelli with a sale price tag on it for 379. After comparing it to others I decided it was on the top of my list. I left and did some research and decided that was in fact the gun I wanted. I went back to purchase the gun and was told that they had the wrong tag on the wrong gun. But they didn't just come right out and say that. The associate kept looking in the computer and telling me there was a problem with the serial number and then goes in the back and comes out with a different but similar looking gun and says "here you go". I could tell it was the wrong gun because it was lacking some of the features that drew me to the gun in the first place. I asked and was told they would not sell me the gun I originally wanted for the marked price. Felt like a bait and switch but I let it go. This was in September
Experience 2: I wait until black Friday when the ACTUAL gun I want is on sale and go in bright and early. I'm buying myself a gun and a gun for each of my sons as Christmas presents. They had none of the 3 in stock and I was told they would take a week to arrive from a warehouse and then I could start my 10 day background. I've called 3 times since and get zero information. Just a "wait longer" reply. Here we are now almost 3 weeks later and after calling today was informed that after background I won't have them in hand before Christmas. Saturday (2 days ago) was the last day to begin background for Christmas. So what was going to be an awesome gift for my boys to unwrap on Christmas morning will now be a picture of a shotgun in a card.
No apologies or solutions, just wait longer or get a refund.
