Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

Strolled in on a whim, after axe throwing close by (read my review about that too). As I read the menu options, the banana split on the poster caught my eye. It had vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, and each came with a special topping to match (strawberries, chocolate syrup and pineapple, with other toppings as well). I figured it would be super good if I actually received anything closely resembling the photograph, but I had no idea what I was in for. The gentleman who took my order asked if I wanted everything on it, to which I answered, “yes”, gladly! It was topped with whipped cream and a proportionate amount of nuts, in addition to their recipe. When I say perfect, that’s an understatement. What I received was way better and even more visually appealing than the image on the menu; I can’t state that emotionally enough. I do not have photos, since we left our phones at the hotel. We are here for vacation, and did not want phones to distract during our evening stroll (read my review about the Hampton Inn as well). It was the best banana split I have ever had, bar none. Flavor, decoration, appearance. Portion, the list goes on. There is actually not a single other banana split anywhere during the course of my entire life that has ever compared, and I even told the employees the same thing. To which they did have; they had a ton of employees to handle long and continuous lines, and this place handles it like the boss they are. Marble Slab is the real deal. My wife had a vanilla malt, which she also described as perfect. The right amount of flavor, without being overpowering; and the perfect consistency, with a good size straw to gulp it all down with.

Employees need better customer service stills. Does any of them smile. Lines were long but for our first time here the ice cream was good. We got 3 small bowls and 1 med bowl 26.00 dollars. Only 4 stars because the staff.... ice cream is homemade in small batches daily using the freshingredients for the richest flavor. So whatever you try, you can expect to discover something incredible.

02/23/24 5:00pm. I will never come to this store again. And I will not advise my friends. When we came in a good mood to enjoy ice cream, there was no one in the store, there were three female employees, the smallest one with black hair came up to us, a girl with a dissatisfied face, as if we were forcing her to make us ice cream, and after we chose the ice cream we said what we wanted, she did not listen to us to the end, she left to make ice cream when I told her that we needed more, she muttered in a rude tone, then another girl came up, more smiling, but most likely she had recently worked, as she was not sure of her actions and accepted the last order. The faces of the employees, especially the one who served for the first time, were such as if they were forcibly held in slavery, forcing them to work, that even my 5th child was surprised: "why is this aunt so evil, something bad happened to her?!" after we made an order, and our desire to eat ice cream disappeared, I went to pay, and when paying with a card, you can not refuse to pay tips, 15/20/25%. Do I have to pay for a negative service?! But this is half the trouble, but to all this, the components that are in colored ice cream leave much to be desired, one continuous chemistry with an incomprehensible rejecting taste, and therefore they did not finish. Terrible service, terrible staff, not counting that new one, apparently....
