Update: Owner Holly was very generous, fix my hair color, cut and style at no cost. Went out of her length and did extra darker coloring under my highlights to rid of the red. My hair was perfect, I had tears. In a later week, Holly checked up on me, be sure I was still happy with my hair. I change the rating to a 5, due to no fault of the salon and great people in it. Tina reached out to me and we discussed, and cleared the miscommunication. Mistakes happened, we learn from our mistakes-
I gave 2 star rating because the hair stylist I had was Tina, she was caring, sweet lady, wanted to do what best for my hair (2 star because of her kindness). But the downfall I walked out with lack of hair job and my hair half dry. I have kind heart, I do not like to hurt someone feeling, told her "I like it" but I was disappointed. It tearing me apart to write this, but It needs to be said. My first visit with Tina, told her I want to work my hair to blonde start with highlights. We did 2 hour hair test strand to see what it would look like because I have dark thick hair and it was colored before. We discussed to do de-color, whole head highlights, and cut- we made an 5 hour appointment. I went back for my appointment she decided to move forward to do highlights, because she thinks it will turn out okay, and to de-color my hair will make it "muddy". As we were starting I'm thinking it might would of been better to de-color (to strip old hair color), I would come back to get highlights. During her working on my hair, she said "your hair is so thick, I can only do top half of your hair", "you are lucky i am working on your hair, other hair stylist wouldn't touch your hair or they would charge you more than $500, this hair stylist behind us charging her girl $700". During the process most of my hair would sit in bleach for a long period of time, the longest was over an hour. She kept dropping the foils couldn't keep the foil in place. She would push my head make statement it would be either my fault or hers the foil wasn't being place right. She took me back to wash back of my hair before she move forward to finish the job. She used sprayed bottle of water and wash cloth to clean the bleach off (wash cloth was pulling my hair). She told the other hair stylist there working, "remind me not to do highlights again". It been over 5 hours, the top front of my hair was rushed, bleach sat in my hair for 18 min, vs all the other part of my hair was siting for a long time more than 45 min. During the last 5 hours, one of her client walked in, waiting for her turn. Tina took me back and wash my hair, and brush it out. And quote "come back i will touch up your roots"....... almost the entire highlights even the front of my hair you can see the blonde highlight not touching my roots, and to dark up the front of my hair vs the back of my hair- it lighter. I understand i have dark hair and some red, i understand it takes works and come back to get it to the blonde i like. However this is looks bad, I am embarrassed to put my hair down. I got it done 12 days ago and my hair looks like it hasn't had highlights or touch up in months. Was supposed to de-color, tone, cut, highlights my whole hair, and at least complete dry and style. I've Pay good money, and sat there for 5+ hours.... I did not ask for refund or "not pay". I did pay her what I owed. I now going to someone new to get my hair...
Read moreI believe the photo speaks for itself. McKenna was my daughters stylist I showed her where we wanted my daughters hair cut to on her back she proceeded to grab all the hair move it to the front and cut it straight across. This caused massive over direction and the front was so short compared to the back but I understand she was trying to get a large amount removed but this was not the best way to execute it considering she didnât have a length to compare it to and just blindly cut the length we wanted. She then decided to section off the hair and start to make sense of the whack she did from the front. After making several cuts and using massive sections to make the cuts the hair was then being over-directed because my daughters shoulders were shorter then the chair height. After âfinishingâ the cut my daughter stood up and her hair had a stadium effect from the over direction and her co worker even mentioned it to her that sheâs going to have to recut it again. McKenna responses âi know i was just trying to get a rough cut because it was tangled.â The reason it was tangling on her was because she was brushing curly fine thick dry hair with a fine tooth comb which with experience she may learn will not work best. She gives it another cut from the back while standing with no sectioning just whacking with her scissors hoping to save herself time. When she finished she asked me if she missed something. I told her it was very over directed but we just needed to pay and go, I didnât want my daughter losing any more length and didnât have the confidence she had the experience or knowledge to give it what it needed. I gave her two stars because she was a nice girl but her inexperience needs to be addressed. Essentially she tried to take a lot of short cuts to save herself time and all it did was cost my daughter more length every cut and wasted a lot of McKennas time if she had just done it right at first taking small sections and making sure she is getting a straight cut. Price was high for not having the skill level...
Read morei just want to start off with that i HIGHLY recommend visiting the salon if you need anything done to your hair!! for context, i had almost black (super dark brown) box dye in my hair. i had taken it from my mid back to my chin in late january/early february, so it had grown out to my shoulders when i got it cut before we did the coloring! last time i had cut it was to take most of the dye out because i was truthfully very tired of the color and needed a change! reference photos to follow of my hair before. so, what i had wanted was calico hair, but on my tips, kind of a niche style but still adorable and with fall coming up itâs perfect colors! it is also not very high maintenance and i donât have to worry about my roots, mainly just making sure my blonde doesnât turn brassy, which is one of the main things i was looking forđi had booked an appointment with stephanie and not only did she give me exactly what i wanted, she absolutely exceeded my expectations! beautifully blended and toned, i absolutely love how she was able to work with how the dye had liftedđshe was very up front about everything, explaining what she was doing! this was truly the first time in a long time i got exactly what i asked for when i went to a salon for my hair:) it was almost like she read my mind, and i only showed her 4, maybe 5 reference photos in total! 3 of the color style and the rest of how i wanted my hair cut- other than the specifics i had told her, she got creative freedom and i absolutely loved to see her passion and love for hair as she worked on mineđ„čnot only can i still tuck my bangs behind my ears (thatâs a big thing for me) but i can still get it comfortably up in a ponytailđ„°my experience was absolutely amazing and if there was an option to give more than 5 stars, i absolutely would! will definitely be going back in the future, and for how much my hair was completely transformed, the price was amazing! and i also got a bottle of hairsprayđHIGHLY...
