Emerald Hub at Calypso — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

UPDATE: Terrianne made a lovely lavender cappuccino with perfect foam today! The lavender is a delightful change from the usual syrups!

We've been in our condo for 4 warm days, but today is in the 50s. I decided to try Emerald Hub for a cappuccino and breakfast.

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and coffees! I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich on artisan nine grain bread. First of all, it is served on huge slices of moist whole grain bread. 2 eggs lightly scrambled and cheese on top. You have options of turkey bacon or turkey sausage. This is $8 and definitely could serve 2 people! I took half back to the condo.

Everything was fresh and hot! The staff was helpful and friendly. I will spread the news and be back during our stay at Calypso Tower III!

I rated this 2 stars because we were wanting to walk in and pick our food up as it is advertised in the walkway going to Tower 1 & 2 but the security guard was EXTREMELY rude and said this area is only for guests in Tower 3 but conveniently we could order it to our room in Tower 2 then they charge a delivery fee when we were more than happy to pick it up and we were already standing in front of the restaurant! They shouldn’t advertise it in the walkway going to Tower 1 & 2 without having a huge sign stating you can only get it delivered. It wouldn’t have been so bad had the guard not been so rude and I had my children with me, it was uncalled for! The menu was pretty basic but was good, giving it 4 stars. We come back to PCB yearly but will not be giving Emerald Hub anymore...

Impolite service this morning. Coffee tasted mediocre. The employee refused to refill my reusable coffee cup, citing Covid concerns, meanwhile no one including her is wearing a mask.

In response to the owner’s response, this is simply not true. At no point in time did the employee say anything about the size of my cup. It was a normal coffee cup size. She was rude about the fact that I did not want her to use a disposable cup, and cited Covid concerns, despite the fact that neither she or anyone else in the establishment besides me was wearing a mask. I would not patronize this establishment again. Trying to distract readers of the review from the issue at hand is out...
