I was ready to purchase my hat, there was only one color in my size. There was a stain on it (which they said would wash off, when I asked them to try to do it in the store for me, it would not come off) so they said they would send me another without taxes since they did not have a store in Florida. I was not offered any personalization or help with options despite the fact about to spend around $900. Reading other reviews it looks like this is something they typically do but not for me! I had to ask and even then was given very little guidance if any. They refused to offer free shipping or any accommodation at all. Not even the silly $10 silk wrap (which I asked for at the end, also not shown to me) could be comped. Later they changed their mind about the taxes but still would not adjust the shipping cost. I still can’t find anything online to support this for 2025. The attitude of the manager, Kylie, in the end is what made me walk out, even after the transaction was almost complete. She said she wouldn’t be doing her job if she offered any accommodations. Isn’t her job to provide customer service? They don’t seem to provide a luxury experience despite the high price point. The experience was just ruined and it wasn’t a memory I wanted to be reminded of every time I used it. I’m very disappointed overall. I came in due to friends who have bought hats from the Aspen location and had a better experience. Of note, the store was not that busy. My friend and I went in on a Friday night - it was busy but not crazy, it was actually busier earlier in the day when we walked by which is why we went back before dinner. We both were planning to buy custom hats but after looking around for over 20 minutes not a single employee came up to offer us help. There was one woman helping other customers and everyone else was standing behind the counter talking to each other and a few other customers. We waited by the counter thinking someone would at least tell us they’d help us in a minute. Not a single word was spoken to us by any of the Kemo Sabe employees. This store is so disorganized and clearly doesn’t care about customer service - when their business model is based off a customer service model. Our group purchased 3 hats yet the staff was rude, unwelcoming, and rushed us through the store. One friend wasn’t even told her hat came with a feather accessory—I had to let her know as we were leaving the store, and only then did a staff member let her pick one.
