My daughter and I came into that location on Saturday, the 22nd. We were looking for a bridesmaid dress for my daughter. When we arrived, we were greeted, and Joanne assisted us through the process. I wish to give praise to Joanne. She was kind, helpful, and attentive. Her compassion and understanding of customer service skills saved the appointment. It was Joanne's actions and caring dialogue that secured the purchase for your store.
The general manager, Audrey, and alterations employee, Sabrina, damaged the experience and ruined your store's reputation.
After looking at dresses, we decided on a particular dress. We knew it was going to need alterations in the shoulders. After recapping all the details with Joanne, she gave me pricing for the dress and alterations. I wanted to pay for the entirety of the purchase at that time. She stated that we could not pay for the dress alterations at that time and that the dress needed to be delivered first. This did not make sense to me as we were ordering the dress. It was to be delivered there, and we needed the alterations done. I wanted to make it easy for my daughter to come in without me and get the alterations done without worrying about anything else.
I asked Joanne if I could speak with the manager and if an exception could be made to assist us. She then went and got her manager, Audrey. At no time did Audrey introduce herself or acknowledge me or my daughter when she walked up. Both Audrey and Joanne went back to the alterations department. Audrey, Joanne, and Sabrina walked out. Once again, Audrey did not say hello, and Sabrina matched the same unpleasant demeanor as Audrey. After an uncomfortable moment, Audrey and Sabrina adjusted the ticket to add the alterations pricing so we could pay for it all at once. I said thank you to Audrey and Sabrina, but neither of them acknowledged me, and both walked off as if I had committed a great injustice by asking for their assistance.
I was taken aback by the deplorable customer service. I decided to decline the alterations due to this experience. I do not want my daughter to be subjected to exceptionally rude treatment for a second time. I will have alterations done somewhere else where customers are greeted with respect and their business is valued. The thought that past, current, and future customers are treated with blatant disrespect at your store upsets me. Shopping in your store for special occasions is an experience that customers should look back at with fondness. The event is supposed to be fun and a pleasure.
I am a manager. My job is to make sure customers are satisfied and have a wonderful experience. If there is an issue, I fix the problems to make sure the sales experience ends on a pleasant note. Customers leave with smiles, knowing that they are the top priority. I know what it looks like to take care of a valued customer base. I additionally know when there is a complete lack of customer consideration. If I treated any customer similarly to how Audrey and Sabrina conducted business with me, I would not have a job.
I regret making the purchase. Currently, I know there is nothing that can fix my daughter's and my experience, but the incident is critical; the kind of service your general manager and alterations department give to customers will lead to less business and negative reviews on platforms such as Google's Yelp.
I will not recommend the above-stated location to my colleagues, friends, or family due to Audrey's and Sabrina's disrespectful service and unpleasant attitude.
No manager has reached out even after speaking to one in the store. Never again will I ever ever shop...
Read moreHEED MY WARNING BRIDES-TO-BE: Under absolutely NO circumstances should you have your wedding dress altered at this location (Glendale, AZ) even if they offer you a discount!!! You may very well end up paying more money for alterations than you did for the dress!
I was absolutely outraged by how the seamstress, Miryam, treated my best friend who is getting married in January. First of all, she completely dismissed the bride’s request for specific alterations to her wedding dress and pushed her into additional alterations that she did not want.
She bullied my friend into adding straps to her wedding dress when she DID NOT WANT THEM and expressed multiple times to Miryam that she did not want straps. Instead of listening to her, Miryam kept going on about how her boobs would fall out of her dress while she was dancing if she did not add straps. My friend has zero plans to get wild at her wedding and she doesn’t even know if she’s going to dance at all since it’s not really her thing. But Miryam was so incredibly pushy about it that my friend relented and let her put straps on the dress. She paid $55 for STRAPS THAT SHE DID NOT WANT.
Miryam also dismissed my friend’s request for specific alterations, namely to let out the dress at the hips out so she could sit in the dress. It was clear at the second fitting that this was not done, as she still could not sit in the dress. But Miryam actually tried to ARGUE with her that it was LOOSE and she could move and sit just fine. I’m not even exaggerating when I say that my friend literally had to pull up a chair and show her that she could not sit wearing the dress. She had to go back for a third fitting just for this simple request to be fulfilled when it should have been done the first time.
My friend was NOT informed about the cost of any of the alterations and was stuck with a $600+ bill that cost her more than the dress itself. She was also told that since she purchased the dress from David’s Bridal, she would get a 10% discount on alterations done through the store. But it was a whole ORDEAL for her to have the store apply this discount and she didn’t realize that it could only be used on specific alterations. She only ended up getting approximately $30 off the entire bill.
At Miryam’s insistence, my friend also paid to have the dress steamed, bustled, and bagged. When she received the dress after her third fitting, it may have been steamed, but it was clearly not bustled and it was tossed carelessly in a ripped bag that was also TRANSPARENT. It was NOT the same bag that the dress had come in, which was opaque and much better quality, and would have crucially prevented her fiancé from being able to see the dress before the wedding while it sits in their SHARED closet awaiting their wedding day.
My friend felt more frustrated and disheartened after every fitting when she should have been elated and excited to try on the wedding dress of her dreams. She is an incredibly kind and considerate person who is the very OPPOSITE of a bridezilla, which is why I am writing this review for her. It is my sincere hope that other brides-to-be may learn from her terrible experience and avoid making such a drastic and...
Read moreI initially had a fairly positive experience when I first visited (staff was kind and helpful, store could have been cleaner) However, that definitely took a turn. I ordered a bridesmaid dress, which I was told would be in 5 weeks later. I hadn't heard anything when it was supposed to arrive, so I called in to confirm and was then told it would be another 3 weeks or so due to "widespread warehouse delays". No one contacted me to let me know about a pretty significant delay and I'm frustrated that I had to reach out to find out about it. Additionally, when I ordered the dress I was assured that I would get the dress back in time for alterations, which I had counted on. The new delivery date was just a couple days before I needed to fly out of state for the wedding (I shared trip date and event date when I ordered), and is barely enough time to confirm undergarments and shoes. When I called in, the person I spoke to was nice and did speak with the warehouse, but I was told there was nothing the warehouse could do and I wasn't eligible for an expedite and essentially that I had to hope for the best or go figure something else out. Nothing was offered to make a nerve-wracking situation right. I don't know how the warehouse is run, but none of the other bridesmaids experienced delays, which also leaves me wondering if there was just a mistake with my order. Stock was spotty in my size at this location and almost everything I tried on in my first visit was stained, and no one at the location even offered to help me figure out an off the track solution, so I ended up purchasing something at a different location on the area where I had a significantly...
