Gabe's — Local services in Perrysburg

Always fun store to shop at very hit and miss as far as what they’re going to have but when they do have things, it is always at a very fair price and very well-made. I’m not sure about defectiveness. If you’re looking for something specific that needs to be a specific size for for instance a pair of shoes you’re probably not going to find sort of like TJ Maxx in that way I know I bought my son a big Joe beanbag my daughter as well and they are seven and 10 years old they were $40 apiece and my kids are rough with things my son‘s already ripped But just a small hole also they have bedding and very nice accent pillows that are large and fluffy. Also winter coats for children absolutely bought my son a Levi’s jacket that is very warm for $20. You cannot beat that price . They got make up cases that look like Louis Vuitton. Same items on Amazon for 60 we got for 20 They have a variety of items and we shopped for three children and spent under $300 for an entire Christmas Highly recommend Gabes.

They could be a little more organized and a little more cleanly at the one specifically on Monroe Street, but the one in Perrysburg is well put together, and the workers are more professional...

I walked into the store to return 4 items, receipt in hand. The first item didn't have a Gabe's tag, which I later realized was a purchase from another store so the cashier seemed automatically to presume I was guilty of some mischief. She looked at the receipt and claimed the other three items weren't on it. She didn't scan the receipt or the items. I knew the purchase date, but told her I've had a few trips back and forth so maybe things were mixed up. She even said "there isn't any item on here for $9.99 except a pair of sandals" (I was returning shorts/pants) Her posture towards me was absolutely a presumption of wrongdoing. Standing there with my son and not wanting to escalate the situation, I told her I would check through my other receipts and be right back. Sure enough, the same receipt I handed her was the correct one. The first two listings, one for $8.99 and the next was 2@ $9.99, showing the line item 19.98. Look, I get it. People do crazy things. Maybe she was jaded from those people trying to pull a fast one. All of that could have been completely avoided if she had just scanned the receipt and items. None of that needed to happen. It...

Bought a piece of equipment from them for $80. Box was dinged up but cashier promised me all pieces were in the box. Surprise, all pieces were not in the box. Replacement part cost $30 through manufacturer since Gabe's is a 3rd party vendor and unaffiliated. Asked manager for some store credit so I could recoup losses for part replacement, was told no.

So now I'm buying the same product online from Newegg for the same price, and I am returning Gabe's box of junk which they will be throwing away and losing money on. Truly, unfathomable policy and unhelpful conversation.
