I was extremely excited to go in today after having a wonderful, very instructive first store visit/conversation with the owner a couple of weekends ago regarding a memorial patio garden I am putting together. They have hired a front desk worker who was very, very nice, but seems to be very much learning. When I got there today, the owner and another person were in back in full view and earshot. I mentioned my previous conversation and asked if they had a plant the owner mentioned would work for my garden and that they might have in soon. The front desk person did not know what that plant was. The owner heard, ignored the whole exchange, and did not greet me at all during my entire visit. I was the only customer in the store. I explained everything to the front desk worker and said that I didn't necessarily need that particular plant if they don't have it, but any plant that might work - that was just a plant that the owner said could work for that particular environment. Front desk worker went to owner for help, and owner made no eye contact with me but instead quietly told her some words to tell me, turned her back to me and continued to make a flower arrangement. I then told the kind worker that if they had anything else that would work I would love it, I would just like some instruction, but it's ok if that won't work. She did offer to take my information down and call if they got anything. The owner had taken my information down already a couple weeks ago, so I suppose I'll see if they call at some point, but I won't expect it. I was just very excited about having a neighborhood garden store with such a nice owner, so I thought I'd pop in. To see the owner so clearly telegraphing that she did not want to be bothered and would not be bothered by me today was incredibly disappointing. Perhaps she was having a very bad day, but it might make more sense to have the new person shadow while she is learning to avoid alienating customers. Or perhaps they should have closed early today if they didn't have the time to deal with walk...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely love this place! I could not be happier with the service, knowledge and selection of gorgeous flowers here. I have been a repeat customer ever since I hired them as the florists for my wedding. The owners Claudia and Vincent made the most beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements of deep reds and gorgeous floating orchid vases for my wedding. They were delightful to work with in the planning and on the day of. Everything turned out more beautiful than anything I could have ever imagined. Made me a customer for life. Every time I am in Philly, I got to the shop and have them put together flower arrangements for me to take to my family and friends. I always get tons of compliments on how different, unique and romantic their arrangements are when I give them as gifts. When you walk into the store, you immediately feel like youāve been whisked away to a secret little florist shop in Paris. There are no refrigerators holding the flowers like typical florists. Itās all open air and the flowers are so fresh and all on display for you to see, learn about if you have questions, and pick or have them handle it all for you if you donāt have the time to browse in the store. Iāve ordered and had gorgeous arrangements and blooms delivered as well. Service always is excellent. Highly recommend this place! You will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSadly, I had a very unsatisfactory experience. I had ordered a specific arrangement - a 10x 10 rose pave - and was quoted $156.60 and it was delivered to a friend. I happened to be at the friend's and saw what I thought was a quite smaller version of what I ordered. We measured it as a 6x6 container not a 10x10. When I called to complain, I found out something I never knew- when you order what I thought was 10x10 container for the arrangement- what you actually get is an arrangement that they claim is the spread of the flowers. I can tell you that the arrangement I saw was in no way a 10x10 spread of flowers. What did I learn from this? Always make sure you get to actually see what you order before it's sent. I feel that I was the victim of a bait and switch- and what I got was not $156.60...
