A great location for tourists because it's located on "The Island" which already attracts a lot of people. Unbeknownst to us there are several Old Time Photo locations all over Pigeon Forge. This location is super clean and I love the displays on the wall of previous picture takers. Another wall is full of costumes. We had a party of 5 adults, 1 baby and 1 toddler and was tons that due to the size of our group we could only do the salon background. Unfortunately, you do not get to choose your outfit - which was a real bummer because they have such a large display of clothes. For women they place your outfits in dressing rooms, have you strip down to your underwear, put on some boxer briefs and fishnet thigh high stockings, then your outfit. Most likely you will need help because it had to be tied up in the back. Of course all the men did was add their outfits on top of their current clothes. After getting dressed they give you your accessories - once again chosen by the staff - boa, feathered headband and string of pearls necklace. Kids got appropriate sized clothes as well. There's a basket placed in each room for you to place your clothes and personal items that you can place right outside the photo shoot area. Next you are taken to your area and photos were taken. The photographer was really patient and took her time with the kids and posing to get good shots. Afterwards you redressed and viewed the pictures. There were several pictures to choose from. With the sitting fee you automatically got 2 black and white photos 8x10 of the same pose. Then came the discussion and luring of upgrades. If you wanted 2 different poses it was a extra $5. If you wanted a third photo it was $12, then additional $5 for anything other than black and white (sepia, retro, or full color). For the sitting fee basically about $10 per person (even children). In the end paid about $100 for 7 people and 1 additional photo in retro color. That was even with the 10 percent military discount. They have wooden frames available for purchase along with sleeves with decorative borders and sayings that were $5 each. You could get all your photos on a flash drive and other packages were available. Overall it was a fun family experience just really expensive. Total time spent about 45 mins
Cons -inability to choose your own outfits and accessories and price
Pros - good photo...
Read moreWe had a reservation, but they kept us waiting for an extra 30min because the group before us was still picking out their pictures. It wasn't super clear why they couldn't get started with us since it was a different lady that was helping them choose photos, but just FYI for anyone else on a schedule. It might have just been the day, but the staff was nice just kind of...absentminded? Also, you don't get to choose the outfits, which was disappointing, but some of the outfits are cute! They also don't provide shoes. They said they'd cover up our feet, which they did for one of us, and the rest us had bare feet out in the photos...they also don't do a good job of providing direction. They're very point and click. I think for the price I would have expected something a little more professional, but if you're there with kids to just dress them up and take...
Read moreSpent $95 for an exciting session, with 2 of the 10 teens who wanted a memory of our family vacation. After dressing the children in inappropriate attire we finally got some appropriate shots and had them loaded onto a USB. After arriving at the hotel tonight, we loaded the pictures onto the PC and displayed them for the rest of the family. Pulled the USB out of the PC and the device came apart.
Numerous attempts to contact the store, finally got the adjacent store to contact the store manager, who understood the situation and was going to call the owner for permission to replace. Finally got a call back that they would replace the USB drive for $20.
A poorly made USB drive maybe cost $5, a large tip, but no more old time pictures at this facility for us. Too many options in Pigeon Forge which would love to satisfy our old time picture and...
