I jus want e'ryone to know that this store ROCKSš¤My sister and I was in Pigeon Forge at the beginning of May and it was my very 1st time there...so I'm going crazy over this place the entire city and like a typical tourist I got in way over my head too fast...taking in all the sites and checking out all the delicious candies...I remember hearing my phone ringing in my purse as I came around to the many Taffy barrels but I ignored it & after that it was a candy filled blur...my sister & I started packing in the candy...an old school Beattles lunchbox...so we made our way on out the store with our loads of Taffy, jus happy as could be untill I remember, about 4 stores ago I had gotten a call...I stopped in my tracks when I realized my phone was GONE! Of course I started freaking out and ran around like a crazy person stopping at every store to see if I had left it...no luck...my sister kept calling and calling it & I tried to locate it with no luck...I was devastated...my entire trip was on that phone... actually my entire life! I came around the corner back to the fountain and my sister spots my sad self...SHE HAD FOUND IT! At the candy kitchen. I was so happy that they actually took the time to answer that call or I wouldn't have had such an amazing remainder of my vacation considering I probably would have had to cancel all my cards and had a long drawn out trip to the DMV when I return home...they saved my vacation...I tried to give a reward & he wasn't gonna have it...just did something nice & amazing outta the kindness of his heart...I was so very lucky that day and that Taffy sure was sweeter after finally knowing I found my phone safe and sound....THANK YOU SO MUCH I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER MY 1ST TRIP TO...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeemed okay at first until we actually went in. Everything was going fine, me and my family were excited to get fudge. Looked amazing. First red flag, however: One of the employees was coughing while behind the counter. We didnāt see it as a big threat, as she wasnāt near anything edible at the time. We finally get done looking around the shop and get ready to buy some fudge. As weāre standing there, I start to notice the the fudge on display was suspicious. (Mind you, the ones on display were the ones you bought and ate.) The fudge had bites out of it. I started to look over at the lady, who was now packaging our fudge. She coughed once, sort of in her elbow but mostly onto the fudge. We shrugged it off, because, as said, it was partially on her elbow. She does it a second time, onto her glove. She doesn't change the glove, no, she continues packing the fudge. With her coughed on glove. She coughs on a few more pieces of fudge and continues to joke with an employee standing next to her saying, āI should probably get tested, haha!ā. Absolutely disgusting. Me and my family walked out without a word. Luckily we didnāt pay for the fudge yet. Words cant express how disgusting and angry we were. To first take bites out of the food youāre selling, to next coughing on it, and then joking about getting covid in front of unmasked customers and employees. Would highly recommend not going here for anybody whoād like to keep their sanity. Would also advise whoever manages the place to actually look at what your employees are doing. Will never be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe vacation in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge each summer. As you all know, there are PLENTY of options for sweets and candy. When we were in Big Rock Candy Kitchen, on a Monday evening, there were about 10 workers in the shop. We walked around and then waited at the counter to order pralines and turtles. There were a group of female workers (about 5 or 6 of them) all standing around each other laughing and paying zero attention to the customers. There was 1 young man working the counter and working the cash register. Finally, a young girl came over from the group and took our order. When she asked if we needed help, I laughed and said YES. She got our order and then tossed it to another girl at the register to rejoin the group of other workers. I had to check my bag to make sure my candies weren't broken. By the time we left, the line was about 10 customers deep and the group of workers hadn't moved from their group. Please, please pick another shop to do business. They need us more than we need them in an area saturated with...
