Much to learn, the Force has about retail⌠but not this shop, hmmm. Somethingâs Fishy is a fun and colorful little gem in the heart of Portland. Walked in expecting the usual touristy fare, walked out with some cool clothes and a Christmas ornament I didnât know I needed â such is the way of the Force.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and never pushy â a rare trait in retail galaxies. And the real MVP? A wise and peaceful shop pup holding down the floor like a true Jedi guardian. Petting him might not grant you Jedi powers, but itâll definitely boost your mood.
Great selection of Maine-themed gifts, hilarious mugs, and quirky tees â perfect for Padawans and Masters alike. Reasonable prices too, no mind tricks required.
In summary: âď¸ Cute gifts and clever tees âď¸ Chill vibes and friendly faces âď¸ Adorably fuzzy floor guardian
Stop in, you should. Strong in the souvenir game,...
Read moreThe best people ever run this shop. Period. And I'll fight anyone who says otherwise. And they have cool stuff, too. Just today, I needed a tie with lobsters on it on very, very short notice (everyone's been in that situation before, right?). Ya know what? They had one - exactly what I needed, at a great price. I wore that tie like a champion. And I didn't overpay for it, and I got to have a great chat with the wonderful people who own the place (although the chat was shorter than I would have liked, on account of me needing to be sporting that lobster tie on an important Zoom meeting). If you are in Portland, go to this establishment. If you aren't in Portland, get yourself there and then go to this store. Say hello to proprietors Mike and Dianne, and tell 'em coach Jeff...
Read moreThis is a wonderful family owned store in the heart of Portlandâs Old Port. We came in for a sweatshirt and left with two sweatshirts, a couple of T-shirtâs and some cute stuff for little girls! There was a ton of Lazy One apparel which was all Maine themed with mooses, lobsters and whales. I met the owner, her son and their labradoodle- all in the store and super helpful. I learned that they had over 100 designs to choose from- and since I grew up in Maine I wanted the goods that we picked out to be unique and not cheap touristy items. Out of all the souvenir/T-shirt shops in the Old Port we found Somethingâs Fishy to have the best prices, assortment and service in town. Ask for a free Maine magnet- they just might...
