Small Threads for Kids — Local services in Redmond

EDIT: We spoke to Dixie as requested in the response below and she was very gracious in accepting the error and in making a refund to make things right. This was more in line with what we have experienced in the past and it was nice to have our trust restored in a place that helps save money and eliminate some waste.

This store has incredibly poor customer service. When I presented the receipt for review of a purchase, the cashier was immediate to brush off any mistakes made on the bill. We were given a number of excuses that did not make any sense and were not reflected on the receipt. The cashier refused to do any further inquiry and completely ignored me. The cashier seemed to have no idea what she was talking about or what she was doing. She did not even ask a supervisor when she did not know. When I called to discuss the poor customer service I received, we again were told there was "just nothing we could do." This was a significant amount made on the purchase and it is incredulous how this store is able to just "do nothing" to rectify the incorrect purchase amount. The quality of of the products do not reflect the amount that is charged for them. I would never recommend this store to anyone and highly discourage anyone from giving them any business. This is a great spot to find seasonal clothes and outerwear, used and new toys, educational puzzles/activities, American Girl dolls and accessories (furniture, too!), games, school uniform pieces, books (all $1!!!), and even sports equipment. They have very kind and helpful staff here, making me look forward to future visits.

Consignment credit can be used at any Small Threads location, but exchanges must be made at the original store of purchase. Plan at least a few weeks ahead since appointments fill up pretty quickly at most of their stores. I highly recommend all...

I love Small Threads. They make it so easy to offload kids goods in good condition, and even those items that aren't keepers for them, they offer to donate them so you don't have to take them back. All sales earn store credit, and the quality of items they resell is truly great, so I have no issues bringing my kids and letting them "shop" -- sometimes my credit covers the whole bill.
