Edit: I have changed my rating to 3 stars. My experience with this position was a downward decline, especially during the the ongoing pandemic. Expectations went up, pay stayed mostly the same, at least it wasnât enough for the strenuous work they had us doing. The job was originally text-based chat, doing technical support for Microsoft products. Things got messy when we switched to over the phone support. There was barely any training and we were left pretty much alone when we had questions. Some cases required learning what had been done by previous agents, most of which involved stuff we werenât even trained on and expected to be great at. Moving up was atrocious, management had favorites and let it show, I was even passed up for the supervisor job because the hiring manager wanted his favorite employee to apply. I applied a second time, and wasnât told if I had got the job or not. Interviewer was judgmental. The company use to be great, but now itâs just a corporate mess.
I only had one job before I got this job and there was a long period of time where I didnât have one. I was really nervous about this job, and when I went in for my interview, I immediately felt welcomed by everyone there. Since then, I can say this is probably the best job I will ever have. The supervisors are super nice, co-workers are friendly, the atmosphere is very professional yet fun at the same time, and the actual work itself is rewarding. The job sets you up for a brighter future and to top it off, they provide tuition assistance which makes it easier to focus on school work. I really feel cared for here and hope to stay throughout my...

The job itself is also way more mentally straining than my current, higher paying one. Have to meet certain metrics and be on 2 chats at a time which is still pretty tough because each customer expects your utmost attention and get impatient, leading to lower reviews.
It's a ok place to work to pay the bills for college, the hours are really flexible. Do note that it's a call center job, even if it's just chat support instead of calls. I did leave because there was no way to really move upwards into an accounting role, I recommend you stay just long enough to learn some soft skills and make some friends and then find a job more relevant to your degree, because even though they talk about how Microsoft could hire you after graduation, it's just statistically not likely to happen for most people. Leaving worked out well enough for me, the experience working here helped me land an accounting job a...

It's not a regular chat center, it's more than that. You build great friendships, meet a lot of new people, and it is such a comfortable environment to work at. From the moment you open the door; the vibe at EAW is SO positive! Our IT department, security, supervisors and every student are what make Education At Word one of a kind and the tuition assistance allows us to graduate debt free and pay our school on time. I am proud and more than happy to say that I work at EAW and...
