I went on a Saturday night. I love live music but I just didn't think the volume was appropriate for the small space. I feel like the Red Door would be so nice for a more intimate setting for you and your friends or your date but unless we went outside, my group couldn't hear ourselves think, let alone hear each other over the band, so making conversation was very hard.
Outside we enjoyed the ambience of it all though, the martini bar and getting to choose from everything. I enjoyed the music from out there as well. I am not sure if other nights don't have live music and you would be able to hear your group, if so I feel like this is a great place to grab a drink together. I really did love the low lighting, the mall local feel you get.
The service was medium grade. I don't feel like it was the best service but it wasn't the...
Read moreThe place is great. Beautiful space. The employees are very friendly and made us feel comfortable. I ordered a sazerac and when It came I immediately thought it looked very full. Too full. Not a bad thing necessarily but when I tasted it, it tasted like someone made a sazerac, and then blasted it with 3+ ounces of soda water. Plus the garnish was a little confusing. They don’t really do lemon peels but rather they do squeezed lemon rind. Like they squeezed the lemon somewhere, and then threw the remains into the cocktail. KEEP IN MIND: I did not give them a chance to fix it, and when the server asked if everything tasted good, I got shy and said yes. Lol. But I could not finish it. And I’m no cocktail authority but I’ve had plenty of sazerac and this one was off. Will try them again and perhaps get a martini as that’s...
Read moreThis bar is the essence of class in Salt Lake City .It doesn't matter if you are loosening up your tie at the end of the work day, or it you want to show your friends a nice time over some SPECTACULAR drinks. I started with theThree Blind Men to get a taste for this bar and thought it was spectacular! The bartenders are good, but if I were to speak any constructive criticism, I would say hire a bartender to take care of the bar, then one to take care of everyone else. It seams as though they are rushing and it kills the experience of this nice bar. Other than that, with an atmosphere that can't be seconded, and a menu you would be proud to bring your boss too, couldn't have asked for more. Good...
