Justin Pendleton at Kirton z defends surgeons who wrong their patients . Spencer Amundsen from Peak Ortho performed both zz my knee revisions. Another surgeon had given me 2 great knee replacements. I was living at a very modern apt complex in Murray. There was a broken sprinkler head with live electrical wires sticking out all over . It was around dusk. I stepped off the walkway unto the grassy area and there was flooding...the rest of complex was basically dry. Well I slipped on this broken sprinkler head and went down immediately. I had waves of electricity running up & down my leg along with major heat waves. It was Sept and it hadn't rained in quite some time. My left left hyperextended and my right knee collapsed on the sprinkler and was gashed open. My ROM was 90 - +10. Prior it was 130 to Zero! My friend took me to Cottonwood Hospital ER. Doc told me to see Amundsen( surgeon who did revisions) I saw him 10 days later..soonest I could get an appt. My left knee was grossly swollen and my right knee gashed. I told Amundsen I thought I had thrown a blood clot..it was tight & painful. Amundsen arrogantly said No Sue you don't have a DVR. I didn't trust his ignorant diagnosis of my situation and demanded an ultrasound. Results proved positive for a D.V.T.! 🤔🤨😵 .NOT long after that visit my left knee started filling up with blood!!! Not synovial fluid! Amundsen would drain 90 ML of blood off my knee. He drained it like 8 times. I said it feels like something is poking into the inside of my knee. Again Amundsens arrogance he said no Sue that's impossible. The bleeding didn't stop. Well Amundsen FINALLY opened my left knee in the O.R. To Amundsens surprise, my knee cavity was full of blood that needed to be drained. After he got rid of all that extra blood he saw that my old knee replacement was busted into many many many pieces! So again Amundsen was WRONG in diagnosing why my knee was filling up with blood. Lastly Amundsen told me he had to extend my leg by 1/4 inch because the ligaments on each side of my knee were stretched beyond their normal limit and could not contract back. All of these findings were a result of my knee getting hyper extended over that broken sprinkler head. I had gotten myself a personal injury attorney because my knee surgeon had emphasized to take care of my total knee replacement . Amundsen told my attorney I hurt my old knee replacement just by walking around in my daily life. By this time the statue of limitations date came & went. I filed a claim with The Department of Professional Licensure against Amundsen. I looked more closely into Amundsens charting & my visits and he had NOT written anything about my clot! Amundsens attorney Justin Pentelton sent me a threatening nasty letter about contacting Amundsen. I hadn't contacted Amundsen since 8/27/24 ..my last office visit with Amundsen. Pendleton told me NOT to bother Amundsen of which I pray I NEVER see Amundsen ever again. There is another doctor in that office I was seeing for my once a year bone strengthing medicine. I sent a message on My Chart bc 1 year was coming up. Justin Pendleton sent me another threatening text about trying to contact any of those doctors. I was NEVER INFORMED I couldn't contact anyone at Peak Orthopaedics. Yet I get a threatening nasty LETTER AGAIN saying I knew not to contact them but I did. Lies lies lies. Thank God I've been able to switch all my doctors from Peak Orthopaedics to a much more compenant professional Orthopedic team. If you are an evil person or have a corrupt business and need an attorney Justin Pentelton is your guy. Id stay away from Pendleton & Amundsen . They both are self absorbed and run their business on opinions...

I signed a fee agreement and paid John Kwarm $5,000 upfront. Shortly after, he started ignoring my messages and became completely avoidant. I was ready to end the relationship because I couldn’t keep paying for legal services while being neglected and left in the dark.

At that point, he verbally offered to take my case on contingency, saying he’d send a follow-up email. That email never came. No text. No confirmation. No documentation.

He then switched law firms without even notifying me, and disappeared entirely—after taking my money and making promises he never kept.

This wasn’t just poor service—it was manipulative and unethical. I have since filed a formal complaint with the State Bar for his misconduct.
