I went to your SLC location today and witnessed Mgr. Daniel treat a customer in a rude manner. (June 12, 2023 at 12 Noon). The lady politely asked for a discount that she gets on a regular basis according to her, and when it was different than what she normally gets she asked to speak with the manager. The manager was then mean to her and told her she could take it or leave it. I was shocked at how poorly trained and disrespectful he was to her. She politely asked for his name, and he refused. At that point I asked the cashier to cancel my order as I could not in good faith purchase my lunch when the manager was mean to this lady. I was wondering was he mean because she was black, or a church missionary? I don't know but his behavior was inappropriate, as she didn't raise her voice, or try to be rude back to him. I have never met this lady before, although I spoke up and told him he didn't need to speak to her in that manner. Companies get sued by customers who treat people in a discriminatory manner. If he was my employee I would have sent him home, and considered firing him or having him step down from a management role until he was better trained.
I was embarrassed for this lady and felt that JDAWG's owes her an apology. There is no reason to treat a customer in a rude manner. I left and ate at a different restaurant because of the scene caused by this manager who did not know how to speak with customers. I also asked for his name and he gave it to me, but had refused to tell her.
I read the reply by JDAWGS, and obviously the person wasn't there. I was there and very disappointed by the reaction. To say this was just a dispute about a discount is missing the point. It was about a very rude person speaking to this young lady. This location needs to better train their management. Civility please! I stand by...
Read moreLove the food and usually have a great experience. BUT, I'm only posting this today and giving something other than 5 stars because this time when I got lunch there all of the staff were collectively the most miserable and least friendly I've ever seen in Utah food service. It was more like a typical New Jersey customer service experience when you're at a Dunkin Donuts off the NJ turnpike at 2am.
I typically don't care about this stuff too much, but even I blown away by how somber and depressing the entire mood was. Out of multiple staff I did not see a single smile or a voice tone other than monotone depression. I can't quite call it overtly rude, but the vibe was cold, unfriendly, and most of all super, super weird. It's like the whole staff had a massive team fight or were told they are having their salary cut an hour before.
I've been to more joyous funerals. It was really bizarre. Dog was...
Read moreI wish I could give higher but the customer service was horrible. Another gentleman was waiting before us and has been waiting five minutes… we waited another couple of minutes and was never acknowledged or told it would be a minute nothing. I finally asked if the young man that was there was going to take our order. He finally said just a minute. He was later identified as “Omar” he was rude and impatient with us…. Like we were putting him out. I always wanted to try the food and was a bit disappointed. I cannot tolerate anything spicy and was told it was sweet and tangy not hot… sorry but for me it was too spicy. Why not offer it on the side ? So I couldn’t even finish. I am on vacation with the hubby and won’t be eating there...
