What a horrific display of cruelty and malice. A representative of the church, Senator Mike Lee, acted callously by publicly mocking and belittling the death of two people (one being his colleague). The church has a duty to lead by example: The church and it's members MUST hold Mike publicly accountable for his atrocious comments. Mike is ruining the witness of the Mormon church.
A representative with the church enabled this cruelty by stating the church would not publicly hold Mike accountable for his compassionless sin. They called it a mistake. The church is enabling sinners and is overlooking their misdeeds.
Mike is a grown man capable of understanding right and wrong. He's old enough to know his actions weren't a mistake, and even if they were, you act like an adult and you publicly own up to it and apologize.
Mike is going to enjoy the outer darkness. So will the aloof officials and representatives of this cruel church who protect Mike.

This church is one of the most well-organized in the world. Its neighboring buildings and sites Temple Square offers the chance to walk around to see the different buildings such as the Tabernacle Assembly Hall the the Tabernacle holds weekly broadcasts of the tabernacle choir music and the spoken word that airs every Sunday it is free to attend however you do need to get there before 9:30 the only time a ticket is required is during the fall and spring general Conference sessions. Read moreThis is a fun building to visit. I have been coming here since I was kid. You can ride up to the top and look out over the amazing LDS Temple and it's beautiful grounds. You can capture unmatched views of the Salt Lake Valley. I know of no other location with a better view of the valley.
In the lobby there is a gihugic painting of the Resirected Christ and his Apostles. Great place for some self reflection and sweet selfie photo opportunitie. Hungry? Just a hop skip and a jump away you can get a quick inexpensive meal across the street to the south at the City Creek food court.
FYI there is an Apple store at City Creek too! :) if you ask enough times you may get a free Apple...
