Boy I dodged a bullet here. I go in requesting to get a 1993 Rolex Datejust and 2005 Omega aqua terra polished. I mentioned to an Older lady that i would have a few quick questions for the jeweler to determine the expectations of the result as both watches had a few minor scratches.
as the Jeweler sits 6 feet from where im standing. she says “Hes busy, let me sell you another gold chain (as she noticed i had on a few of them at the time)
i kindly told her no thank you. “How bout a ring?” Again no thank you.
then she proceeds to ask where i bought the watches while looking me up & down with disgust and contempt in her eyes. I told her they were purchased private party and had been appraised & verified authenticity…but i wasn’t asking her to buy them, i asked to polish them.
then she asks me again if im sure they are real? and proceeds to show them to a younger manager, (i dont know what they discussed) then asks me again, where i bought them.
(Working as a 70+ dinosaur for a jewelry company she should have been able to tell they were real)
i then ask, when i could speak to the jewler, she responds by saying i would have to leave the watches there for a couple days.
I told her no thank you, that i could find better customer service elsewhere.
I personally think her behavior towards me was rooted in stereotypes and likley racism, simply because i have a close fade haircut, wearing multiple gold chains…and that the moment she knew she couldn’t sell me another chain, or ring, it was more entertaining to her to degrade me by speaking sharply and continuously questioning me about my very authentic watches legitimacy.
Ps: After taking them to another reputable jewler who agreed to polish both for $300, He informed me that he personally worked for Charlie (the owner of this very store) many years ago, Allegedly asked him to hide a cracked diamond within a ring setting, as well as 25-30 diamonds that zurinskys intentionally mislabeled as VS1, but actually were i1’s or SI, and as a company have been sued many, many times. But the owner could care less.
Whew….maybe i should have left them at least 3 stars for scaring me away from an EVEN...
Read moreMy boyfriend bought me a colored bracelet from here that unfortunately did not fit my style. We decided to go back and exchange it for something that did. The lady showed me some items that just weren't up to my liking , unfortunately for the price point there weren't alot of.choices. We spoke about maybe asking for in store credit , since it had been purchased past 30 days it did not qualify. We kept looking around at the same items hoping to see something that caught my eye. The main owner(I think) was sitting on the chair and did not once try to help out which made me feel uncomfortable, I chose some earrings and still had a certain amount left. I looked and couldn't find anything I liked. A older lady with short blonde hair (Pictured) came in and saw me struggling and asked me questions and I struggle with anxiety and depression so at that point I just wanted to run back to my car and hide but somehow I kept it together. I tried to answer her questions, I like studs, no I do not like gold balls. Then she asks me if I like pearls, I struggle to answer because I can feel a panic attack coming and she blurts out "Oh my God haaaaaaa" and walks away and says "this one oh lord" " she's got quite an attitude". I was shocked , did she not think I could hear her just because she walked a few feet away?. It took every ounce of me to not be disrespectful, so instead I just chose 2 items quickly to just get the hell out of this place. As the exchange was going on I stepped out and sat on the chair in the middle of the entrance and let it all out. Tears going down my face, if only this woman knew how much it took me to get out of my bed today , to even get ready to go to this darn store to exchange something. I felt embarrassed and not appreciated as a customer. I don't care if the price was only 160$ or if it would have been 1000 , you treat your customers the same. I just want to thank the lady with the pixy hair cut for having so much patience with me and although I couldn't make my mind up at least she didn't make...

The above review was my original review after purchasing several thousand dollars of jewelry and watches. My family and I had enjoyed shopping here for many years because the family seem to be very honest. It wasn’t until very recently when I attempted a layaway (which is something I normally don’t do) last year before Christmas. One of the major issues is my information was not taken down properly and they don’t seem to have a digital or electronic database to keep payment information. So when you make payments they require you to keep track of the receipts which are hand written and fade. After dealing with a couple of questions on payments and them having to locate payments that they weren’t aware that I had made. They did locate the totals eventually by putting together multiple different paper slips one that was on the item in the safe and one up front by the register. It wasn’t until I spoke to Miss Gurinsky And let her know that I was no longer going to purchase a watch because I had found another one and I was asking for my payments to be returned. I can understand I 10% of your payments restocking fee or something of that nature. But the answer was will sell you another watch what she quoted at 200% of retail. (If you are a certified Rolex dealer Rolex does not like you to do this) as I was working over three different scenarios with her one was which I would no longer do business with them and they can keep the money. Or I could check with federal trade commission laws and regulations since it seems like a very lose and disorganized Layaway Program Which is going to cost me time and money with counsel. At this point she became rude and began to raise her voice with me. As it stands I am requesting a refund and I await their reply. After reading a few yelp reviews I wish I would’ve done a little research before our family started doing business with them in the past. It would seem these are...
