I took several tours from Another Side of San Diego Tours and loved them all. Amy was my tour guide on all of them and she is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.
The Gaslamp Segway Tour was one of my favorite tours! I felt like I was able to see so much of San Diego in a fun way! Amy was a spectacular tour guide and has so much knowledge of San Diego. In addition to the sights, Amy pointed out great places to eat and other fun things to do while we visited!
I really enjoyed the Coronado e-bike tour! It was my first time on an e-bike and it was super fun! I enjoyed being able to pedal as I wanted, while getting an extra burst of power when I wanted! I thought we covered a lot of ground. It was fun to ride the ferry to the island and back. Amy knows so much history of the San Diego area and is a wonder tour guide. I highly recommend this tour!
The La Jolla Segway Tour was awesome! We covered so much ground and were able to see the Sea Lions and Seals! Both areas were impressive. We also were able to watch semi-pro surfers, which was a treat. I felt like the tour gave me a good idea of La Jolla. Amy is fabulous and gave us great recommendations for where to eat and what to do. This tour is a fun way to see La Jolla! We then did the kayaking and that was a blast!
The Famous San Diego Private Tour with Pickup was excellent! There were five of us traveling and the private tour was fantastic. We started the tour hungry as we were running around all morning, so Amy graciously altered the tour to allow us to grab the absolute best tacos (as she told us!) from Tacos el Gordo (try them if you can) in the Gaslamp area. Then we saw so many other sights, Balboa Park, Coronado Island (and the big bridge we crossed to get there), the coastline. It was a fun tour and Amy has so much knowledge! She a joy to have as...
Read moreI had the most wonderful morning solo tour of San Diego with Another Side Tours, and my guide Julia S. was incredible. From the very start, she made me feel completely welcome, comfortable, and safe as a solo female traveler. Her friendly nature, deep knowledge of the area, and clear passion for her city turned this into one of the most memorable tours I’ve ever taken.
The highlights for me were watching the sea lions lounging in La Jolla, exploring stunning Coronado (and learning from Julia that it’s actually a peninsula, not an island!), and driving through downtown while hearing fascinating stories about its history. Julia’s storytelling really brought the past to life, and she went above and beyond by bringing history books for me to look through along the way. The snacks she provided were such a thoughtful extra touch—it really showed how much she cares about her guests’ comfort.
Julia’s enthusiasm was contagious, and I felt like I was exploring with a knowledgeable friend rather than just a guide. If you’re visiting San Diego, I can’t recommend Another Side Tours enough—and definitely ask for Julia by name. She’ll make your trip...
Read moreThis was the highlight of our long weekend in San Diego. It was our first time riding Segways, but Kara was an excellent teacher (Kara cares!) and had us all zipping around comfortably in no time. The mandatory intro video was informative but hilarious, and it was perfect to have about half an hour to practice before hitting the city streets and sidewalks.
Adam was a fun, engaging tour guide, and we felt extra safe with him leading and Kara bringing up the rear. Our only regret was not booking a longer tour. We love hiking, biking, kayaking, and walking - but we all loved this so much more for getting to know a city.
I've been riding bikes forever, but when I see pedestrians or obstacles near my path, I get nervous for fear of running into them. I've actually crashed into cars and gates. But on a Segway, I had total confidence and everyone escaped unscathed. I was even able to navigate safely through a crowd of dogs at a crosswalk. If you're nervous about riding a Segway, just know that anyone can ride...
