Do not go here! This does not apply to other nationwide stores, just this one. My bride is in another state, so I went here for a fitting/to order. The fitting wasn't even the worst part of this story (and that part included the owner's tiny dog running around, a dentist(?) office under construction, and no fitting room door). No, the worst part was that Holly didn't even place the order for the dress, despite me paying and getting a confirmation email! It was very unclear at the time, but since talking to another store, it is SO clear that she has no idea what is doing or has had some sort of business breakdown in the last few months. I called her around the time I expected delivery (4 months later); after a week of trying email/text/phone, I finally got her on the phone. She "confirmed" the dress had been ordered and would email me delivery details....it was not ordered (I later found out) and no email came. 3 weeks before the wedding: no dress, completely MIA Holly. I finally got a ridiculous email from her saying the dress wasn't coming, no viable solutions, and reassurance that all communication holes were plugged...they were not.
The staff of another Bella store COMPLETELY saved the day. Within hours they had viable options that Holly had clearly not tried and then lied about. I cannot give enough praise to the staff of the other store!
Bella Corporate: this franchise needs to be dealt with! It seems like this is a pattern since January. There isn't a clear way to get in contact with an overall Bella corporate person to resolve issues with an individual store. Everything on their website only funneled me back to contacting the SF store, which was problematic and really prolonged this problem. Things she did wrong: opened my own online showroom rather than using my brides (maybe to get the commission for herself?). This meant that there was no bride to finalize the order. abysmal communication did not try to resolve the issue and lied about it. The other store tried things she...
Read moreEchoing some of the more recent reviews that communications with this store has been awful. My bridesmaids dresses were supposed to arrive on 1/31 and I received no news. A week after that deadline (which was on my contract), I reached out for an update via email. For 3 weeks, there was no response despite me following up multiple times via email and phone call (always straight to voicemail). Please save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.
Giving 1 star for Holly being nice during my in-person visit and 1 star for the dresses eventually arriving to my bridesmaids (although ~4 weeks late).
However, I'm giving credit to the dresses arriving all to the Bella Bridesmaids social media team (a million stars for this team!). After not hearing anything from the SF team, I reached out to the Bella Bridesmaids main Instagram account, where I got a response within an hour. That team was SO kind & understanding, helped escalate the issue and got the dresses shipped to my bridesmaids.
I would not recommend working with the SF team/store directly as communications post-purchase was awful and caused SO much stress. I'm all for empowering young women to own & operate a business, but I don't think Holly has enough experience to be...
Read moreI did not have a good experience with Bella Bridesmaid SF because they would not schedule a weekend appointment for me, even though I was willing to book one that would work with their availability.
My Maid of Honor lives in San Francisco and I wanted her to try on and pick dresses at the same time as the rest of the bridal party in Minnesota. It would work for us to do this on a weekend, but not during the week day since my friend would have to leave work by 3:30pm PT at the latest in order to make the last appointment of the day on MN time ( 4pm PT/ 6pm CT).
They would not accommodate this request or fit her in for any length of time on a Saturday. I asked for a shorter appointment and they would not do it. They also do not have any online scheduling system, as Annick pointed out, so I couldn't go through that route.
One of the main reasons I picked Bella was because they had stores in multiple locations. However, if they literally won't let my Maid of Honor come in for even a short time on the weekend because SF is not the "home" store then I don't see how they're different from any other shop.
There are bridesmaid retailers who have many more dresses in stock than Bella and I plan to work with them...
