If I could leave zero stars, I would. This dealership experience has made me question why I ever bought a Porsche.
I had two major issues that any luxury dealership should have handled with professionalism, but instead I encountered negligence, poor communication, and what feels like unethical practices.
Service Department – A Two-Month Ordeal for a One-Day Repair
I brought in my car for a simple software update related to a battery drain. I was told it would take one day. It took ~ two months. The dealership lost my service ticket, did not return my multiple calls, and offered no proactive updates. I even replied to their survey with “I DON’T HAVE MY CAR,” yet no one followed up. This was a complete breakdown in customer service and basic accountability.
Loaner Vehicle – ~$9,000 in Charges Without Documentation
I was given a loaner vehicle with no check-in/check-out process or documentation of its condition. A week after I returned it, I received a $9,000 bill for alleged damages. When I requested proof of pre-existing damage (e.g., photos or documentation from when the car was loaned to me), they provided nothing. I had the same damage assessed independently by a certified body shop and was quoted $3,000. The dealership was attempting to bill me 3x the market rate — and when I raised this concern, a manager casually replied that "most people just send it to insurance."
To make matters worse, I emailed a formal dispute detailing all of this, including the lack of documentation, and received no response whatsoever. Four months later, the dealership filed a claim against my insurance — without even acknowledging my prior communications.
While in their possession, my car was keyed in their parking lot, and again, no ownership or support was offered. My vehicle was returned in worse condition than when I...

I’m an international student who just arrived here for school, and I’m not very familiar with English or cars. Recently, I had my car serviced at Porsche of SF with Chris Lara, and it was a frustrating experience. Chris told me my brake pads needed replacement, which I expected, but he also strongly recommended replacing the rotors without giving any explanation as to why. I later took my car to another shop, and they confirmed that my rotors were in good condition and did not need replacement. Luckily, I didn’t proceed with their suggestion, as I now suspect it was an attempt to overcharge me for unnecessary work.
To make matters worse, I initially brought my car in because I needed it quickly for a trip to LA with my two sisters. Chris first told me that the car only needed one wire replaced for the battery. But on the day I was supposed to pick up the car, he suddenly said that the battery also needed to be replaced. I ended up paying a whopping $3,378 for maintenance, including several parts that I highly doubt were necessary. If I hadn’t been in a rush to use the car, I never would have agreed to this.
This experience left me feeling misled and overcharged. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this service center and to seek second opinions before agreeing to any costly repairs.

This is the best Porsche dealer in the Bay Area. The service consultant, Elijah Toro, is exceptionally chill, super helpful, and down-to-earth. The same goes for Joyce and Sherman. All three of them are wonderful individuals who patiently addressed my wacky questions and have been amazing in servicing my Taycan, helping me figure out a 911 purchase, and providing a fantastic loaner experience.
The only regret I have is that I bought my first Porsche three months before Porsche SF opened. Had I known how outstanding they are, I would've waited and gone to Porsche SF instead. From now on, I will be taking my business to this location.
Overall, Porsche SF excels for the following reasons:
Extremely chill and well-trained team that works with you. They provide Lyfts to/from your home. Clear communication with no surprises. Fair and transparent service rates, much better compared to other Porsche dealers in the Bay Area. They allow you to use their facilities to take work calls, which has saved me numerous times during last-minute meetings. A dedicated barista offering excellent coffee and pastry options. An overall great service experience. The location itself reminds me of a Gran Turismo lounge (of video game fame) and it's just a cool place to hang out.
I cannot recommend this location enough. Whoever was in charge of picking this team and setting up Porsche SF, you did a great...
