My experience in the salon was mostly good. I will say that the receptionist could be friendlier. When I walked in and said hi, they did not utter a word, only prompting me to wash my hands a minute later. And when I was checking out calculating the total with tip, I could have sworn I heard them grunt in impatience. Not sure that customer service is their calling. As far as my manicure, I won’t call the artist out by name but I will say that it was overall a pleasant experience. However it was definitely off-putting that they at one point were checking their smart watch with the hand they were using to hold my hand. They checked the watch a couple of other times throughout the service, which I wouldn’t have minded if the nails on one hand were not noticeably longer than on the other and crooked on a couple of fingers. They mentioned that they had to use longer nails because they were out of the shorter ones in some of my sizes, which I’m sure made the process more difficult, but when I’m paying almost $100 for a manicure I expect a certain level of attention to detail. Yes, I could have examined my nails more closely to check for these details at the salon - but this would have made the experience more awkward for me as a person who was already uncomfortable in this position because I don’t often get manicures and had expressed this inexperience. I trusted this person to exercise their expertise and didn’t want to be overly critical towards them. What I wish is that this artist had asked me if I was satisfied with the results at different points as I heard a neighboring artist do. This would have produced better results in the end and made for a more...
Read moreOverall good nail technicians, convenient and cosy location, unrushed, but the nail polish selection is subpar, polish quality is questionable, and paper cups for tea make tea taste gross. Why not OPI or DND, folks? Kiara Sky polish is hit or miss. Also what is very bizarre is that polish removal is not included in polish CHANGE price. How can you “change” polish without removing it first?..
Edit: Yes, they have OPI and DND, but selection of those polishes is TINY. It’s on a top shelf. Also I am not sure what’s going on, but my gel polish started to peel within a week. That’s frustrating.
I keep going here because our of convenience, because I like Alina there, and because it is still better than those...
Read moreWent here for the first time from a recommendation. Absolutely love the space and the front desk gal was very nice, helpful and had a smile. My nail tech Annie, is very kind and diligent with her work and I appreciate that very much! My biggest complaint for the dip application is that its a bit on the thick side. I did get chunky glitter which will always add to the thickness factor, and at the same time, I've had chunky glitter that was less thick. I would definitely recommend Annie. The price for my dip removal and application with tip was $92. Overall for the price, I will not return. I've had dip at other salons for $47 that was...
