We really like the Bagel sandwiches here and have tried both the U District and SLU locations. We prefer to have them dining in before the bagels get too soggy but the seating is pretty limited across both locations - It’s not like 2-3 tables but it isn’t a big coffee shop style seating either. They’re popular and get pretty busy over the weekends and so grabbing a table gets really hard. The key problem is folks loiter around/hoard tables doing homework assignments or personal work or playing chess long after they’re done with their meals while other customers looking for a table to enjoy their meal have nowhere to go. Read moreChecked out the grand opening of Toasted in SLU, and it did not disappoint! Despite the expected crowds, the wait wasn’t bad at all. The staff kept things moving efficiently, and the customer service was excellent.
I ordered the toasted lox, and it was super fresh and the seasoning was spot-on—flavorful without being overpowering. Unfortunately, the bagel I originally wanted was out of stock, but they more than made up for it by giving us a free coupon for a bagel and spread next time. A small but thoughtful gesture that shows they care about their customers.
