Ok so you stand in line to order while everyone in the line in front of you tries to figure out what they want to eat. A nice relaxing breakfast was the goal but not this way. In a normal restaurant, you would be sitting at your table drinking coffee while waiting for a server to take your order. I guess it saves having to hire people. Minimal welcome or friendly smiles! Then the unmitigated nerve to ask you to add a tip when paying BEFORE you sat down, were served or even saw what kind of service you might get. But we went with the flow. Ordered scrambled eggs and asked for them to be loose with cheese mixed in. Nope, scrambled eggs not loose, more hard like an omelette than scrambled and then with the cheese just laid across the top and not even folded in. Asked for extra crispy bacon; it came so fatty and limp it was gross! Add to that they were so cheap they put one thin slice of toast on the plates. Never went to a restaurant that did that but ok, times are tight! There were only two servers serving the entire place so when the order was wrong, we never saw a server and no one came by to see if all was well so tried to find someone to tell and apparently found the owner or manager. I think that is what he was because after we left we saw his picture on the web site. After he was told what was ordered and what was wrong, do you think he said I’m sorry like a normal business person who cared would? Nope, he actually chastised me and told me how I should have said it to him? Hello, who does that? Mind you, I did not swear, yell or call anyone stupid; just tried to tell the guy the issue but I guess the story was too long or he just didn’t care! A VERY simple breakfast almost $50, um ok so California? We had planned to eat there again as the menu looked good,...
Read moreWait time: Busy place. Long line. Overall, the line moves fast. You order at the front counter, then sit down (inside or outside). Smooth process. Food arrived fast!
Service: Friendly service, polite, fast. The place is extremely clean and nice!
Food selection: There is a large menu to choose from. Definitely will find something for everyone!
Food flavor: This is where they drop the ball. The food is hot. The food is fresh. The flavor is bland unfortunately. As a foodie, flavor and quality of food outweigh many issues. Chicken and waffles - Do not recommend. l It is filling, but the flavor is not there.
Biscuits and Gravy - Being from the south, this dish is simple and should be flavorful. Unfortunately, this was completely off as well. Edible? Yes. Tasty? No....
Coffee - Average at best.
Orange juice - Isn't fresh squeezed, so it misses the mark as well.
If you're looking for fast, simple food, this place is fine. If you are looking for flavor and quality, this...
Read moreThere was a long line when we arrived around noon on a Sunday but it moved pretty fast. There’s no table side wait service; you order from the counter at the door and then they bring your order to the table. The person manning the computer was fast and efficient—even though there were 6 of us. He also split the items on the check so we could pay as parties of two, which was very nice. The food is basic breakfast fare, nothing special. There wasn’t even parsley or chives to garnish the food. I ordered the salmon Benedict and the English muffin was totally mushy—not toasted enough, if at all. The hollandaise sauce was very good though and not broken. My husband ordered the hot and spicy omelet which he like but it was a little dry. Everything was served with crispy tater tots that were delicious.
It’s a good, basic breakfast spot but nothing outstanding. Because there’s no table side wait service we didn’t get refills on our...
