Reserved skis to pick up any time after 3pm the day before we ski. Got there at 4:00, and they said it’s busy and we have to get on a waitlist and they’ll text us in 30-40 minutes when it’s our turn. We had dinner reservations at 5, and assumed that booking the skis online meant we would be in and out in a few minutes. We planned every minute of the day meticulously, and this ruined our only chance to get our skis the day before since there would be no way we could make our dinner in time. We ended up just leaving without skis and picking them up from the California Lodge location the next morning (which had no wait at 8:45am and only took us a few minutes).

After returning mine and my girlfriends rental equipment I was told that we did not return a snowboard and would be held liable for the loss of the board. After speaking with assistant manager Amanda she stated that sometimes items are lost but if they couldn’t find the board, once again, it would come out of my pocket. They do not provide a recipe of return or any way for the customer to prove that the items was returned. We spend the next two days stressed about this issue. After I called them to inquire about the lost board they said they found the board at another shop and never even apologized for the accusations that we stole the board. I would suggest another more organized rental shop, or at the very least make sure you ask for proof of return of rentals before...

If you have any other option to rent your ski gear, take it, just don't rent here. You will wait in a long line up for your prepaid reserved rental. When you get to the front of the line, they will not help you. Instead, you will be asked for you phone number and told they will text you when they are ready for you. You might as well go have breakfast. And maybe lunch. They will help every person who has signed up for ski lessons before they help you. This will take hours. Meanwhile, you time on the hills grows shorter and shorter. If you can rent from your hotel, do that. If you can rent anywhere else, do that.
