Sock City — Local services in South Lake Tahoe

This store was great until their customer service was put to the test. I am saddened at the outcome. This store initially had my 4 yr old and I so excited. We walked throughout the store and had lots of fun going through the socks.

My 4yr old picked out a pair of superhero socks and would not leave the store until we got something for his 7yr old brother. He picked a pair of his brother’s favorite football team and we checked out. We went outside and surprised my older son with the socks, but came to realize I made a mistake and grabbed a size large instead of medium.

Within a few minutes of the original purchase my two sons and I went to swap the size Large for a size Medium. They were still in the original packaging, untouched. I brought the correct size to the counter. I paid $14.95 for the large (incorrect size) and the medium (correct size) was $13.95. They said I couldn’t exchange the pair because they were not the same price or higher. The male and female worker that were there, both agreed they couldn’t help me. I told them I didn’t want my $1.00 back, I just wanted to get the correct size. They said they couldn’t do it and the female worker suggested that I needed to go put back the pair of socks that I was not getting.

So disappointed. Their exchange policy is bogus. The tag was pinned in the middle one of my daughter socks, there is no way to put it on without taking the tag off. Tried to exchange with a different size and the guy said “we can’t take it.” They wanted us to pay for another pair and not exchange it. I can’t...

The greatest selection of socks I've EVER seen! I had so much fun here with my girlfriend checking out all the different socks that they had here.
