Update Just to give some context when I first brought up the issue to Thomas on August 16th, he assured me he would figure out what happened and make it right. After radio silence for 10 days, I reached out and he called asking for a picture of the invoice and said he'll need to "advocate for me to his manager". That itself was off-putting, as if this was an unreasonable ask. I asked if I needed to come in with the ring to prove it, he said "no, don't worry, I trust you" then when I got there he said I probably should have brought the ring to test the gold content. So after coming back and waiting to calculate the amount owed back to me, the total was recalculated again to a lesser ammunt and I asked him to honor the first price. Once that was settled, I was accidentally charged that amount instead of refunded so he had to double refund me. I gave a lot of grace there since accidents happen but at no point was Denver involved. Only after leaving a 2 star review did he offer to make it right and called me assuring me that if I came in for wedding bands, he will absolutely make it right and said he won't let me down. He stated I can work with Thomas as he knows the situation. Fast forward to last Tuesday, the engagement ring diamond was loose (after one month) and my fiance and I came in to get that fixed and I asked Thomas to get me a quote on some bands, assuming Denver discussed this with him, at no point in that visit being the first time my fiancee came in since we got the ring, did the issue get acknowledged or any apologies made to her. Later that day I got a full-price quote for the wedding bands. At that point I could have called it quits but I reached out to Denver and the next morning I came in to meet, he assured me he will give me the absolute best price for the rings and that he won't let me down. The offer ended up being about 20% off. 10% more than the friends and family discount already assumed. After countless opportunities to be proactive and address the issue, at the first notice of a problem, it felt like they really didn't care. I truly think, the offer came because of the bad review, not because they cared about my experience. I will be going elsewhere and gladly paying full price. Original I truly wanted to give a 5 star review and if it wasn't for how helpful and knowledgeable Thomas was, I would have given this a one star rating. I ordered a custom engagement ring and specified 18k gold, the final design sheet said 18k gold. Through no fault of Thomas, he was out of town when I picked up the ring and I was charged for 18k gold ring. After my engagement, I looked at the band and noticed that it says 14k and notified Thomas. He wanted to verify what the karat was so we put it in their tester and it showed the ~58% gold so 14k. After Thomas discussed with management, they offered to refund the difference in price between the 14k and 18k gold price as well as the friends and family discount that was not added to the transaction when Thomas was out of town. Thomas was great to work with and the only times where customer service was lacking was when it was super busy but I understand that it's normal.
The quality control is my main issue, how a ring can be billed as 18k. (I was shown in the computer that it was ordered 18k) And get cast and stamped as 14k with no one noticing is a major problem. It's too late for me at this point as I am not going to remake a ring after proposal but I felt like there was no effort from management to go above and beyond to make it right. Just to assume the cost of the gold was my issue. I will definitely take that into consideration before any future business here. Again, I never write bad reviews, but I felt the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the best jewelry store in Spokane. In fact, you would expect to see a top of the line jewelry store like this in New York. They recently resized my new wedding diamond ring set. The diamonds on that ring were wrapped around both bands. I needed to go almost 3 sizes down (original size 8.5 down to 5.75), which is extremely hard to do. I was told by multiple jewelers that itās impossible to make this ring round due to the diamonds around the shank of the rings. For it to be perfectly round, you would have to buy this ring in the size you need. I am so glad I found Jewelry Design Center. At time of drop off, Jewelry Design Center also said that my ring would be oval. To my surprise, upon pick up, I was shocked to see that my ring was perfectly ROUND. Their craftsmanship is so impressive! They went above and beyond what I expected. I can now comfortably wear my ring everyday for the rest of my life. Their work also increased the value of the ring because it is now a common size ring. I can now feel at ease knowing that I can pass it down to my kids when Iām ready and it will be easier to re-size the ring in the future. They give you a year warranty on their work. I felt very safe leaving my ring there. They have 7 professional smiths. You can see them working on jewelry in the back of the store on camera. It is all transparent and you can feel safe leaving your jewelry there. The staff is also top of the line. They are professional and caring. I felt they listened to me and went out of their way to help me. Their prices are very good. In fact, the price was better than what I was quoted by other places. I feel this is my personal jewelry store and I will NEVER go anywhere else. I highly recommend Jewelry Design Center. We are very fortunate to have a place like this in Spokane. I am...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just had a real Pretty Women moment at this store.
I arrived and the store was seeming quiet. No one greeted me, not the lady standing at the desk directly opposite the door. I walked to the service desk to the sign that says 'wait here and someone will be with you shortly'. A young male employee finished up helping the people at the next booth and, without acknowledging me at all disappeared into the back and didn't come back. I stood there for about 5 minutes being patient. There is no doorbell to ring for service and the older lady still standing opposite the door looking bored didn't acknowledge me.
The young male came out again, and went straight to the empty booth next to me, still not acknowledging me. I am 5'10 but wondered if he couldn't see me a few feet away. I said "hello, can you help me?" And he dismissively said hold on and immediately went to some people on the floor to ask them if they needed help. They didn't, so I told him I needed help. Someone else ultimately helped me, showing that there were people in the building capable of serving all the small number of people in the store.
I don't expect immediate help and I was happy to be patient. I did expect "hello, welcome in" and then "hi, I see you there. I'm going to say hello to these folks and then I'll be right over to help you out" or "I'll let the service desk staff know you are here, sorry for the wait".
The younger women that serves the service desk who ultimately helped me both times was really nice and very kind and had great customer service.
I'll go somewhere else for my service in the future. There's lots of options in town.
Edit. Denver got back and text me directly about my experience. They understood the mistake here and I was confident that the issue has...
