My husband and I went to shop yesterday. Didn't see the No strollers or buggies sign up the escalators. We came from the side where you do not see the sign. Honest mistake there was a crowd downstairs and I wasn't thinking. We had a woman come from I assume the sales counter of the handbag area that appeared to be an employee. Shoulder length brown/gray hair appeared to an older woman. She started screaming at me and my husband about the buggy on the escalator. I pulled it off of the escalator. She continues to scream at my husband and I while other people are watching. Not even explaining that there is an elevator that I didn't even see. (An employee from upstairs shouted down there was one.) I could barely hear her over this woman berating me telling me shouldn't couldn't believe I thought I could do that. That we must be stupid. Etc. I was so embarrassed that I almost left my merchandise right there.
After this yesterday, I will never shop at Boscovs again. Especially if that's how you have employees speak to customers. All that had to be said is not to take that up the escalator and there is an...
Read moreToday I was putting a suit together for a very sad occasion and everything is just miserable. Not the sort of day you do your thing then go and write reviews on after, but it was so impactful that I just had to take a moment. A gentleman named Russ if I remember correctly helped me, talked things over as he helped me find the perfect pieces (shirt, pocket square, belt, tie...) and managed to make the whole experience pleasant. We discussed the loss of loved ones and finding ways of pressing on with life while he measured me, got all the pieces together, set me up to try them on, and got me checked out all in one shot. No bouncing around, no pointing me to racks, just did it the old fashion way of helping a customer out and for that short period making their life much easier. That's the sort of service you don't get much anymore and to find it in a non-boutique store was amazing. Russ, and I really hope that was your name, you're awesome and I really appreciate the level of service and hospitality...
Read moreVisit 11-12-24 I was shopping for dress pants and a casual dress shirt. Had to wander around the men's department for a half hour plus attempting to find pants of quality or not feeling of a polyester shower curtain. Three staff members walked and stood within five feet of me without ever once offering a hello or can I help you. I was impossible to have been missed trying to shop. All were appearing to busy doing some type of inventory and stocking shelves. I settled for two pairs of so so quality. Even an apparent manager at the register with the staff ignored me waiting to ask for help. As I was a ghost. After finally at the register to pay one of the same staff that ignored me said "All that roaming around and this is all?" Their mens department is cheap materials and slim choices. Most sizes begin with 34 or 36 waist. Lack of lower sizes. I have had two other similar encounters with this store involving other...
