In Jan. a salesperson had sized my finger (5&1/2), and we put an engagement ring on hold. She wrote down the matching wedding band number for our reference. When Gabe picked up my ring in April they hadn't sized it so it was too big. We went to have it sized days later and they said I had 1 free sizing. I asked why it wasn't ordered initially and they changed their tune to "oh, this one won't count." Everyone looked confused but nobody said that anything was wrong. I asked if it was supposed to be ordered in that size and they barely said yes. They told me just a couple wks and I'd have it back. They sized me that day and said that we should go for 5&3/4. It came in 2 wks later it was too big. They said to bring it in again and said just a couple more wks. Now dealing with our 3rd salesperson I retold the story and she seemed just as confused but again, no apology or explanation. They treated us as a bother and a burden the entire time. As we're nearing our engagement photos I kept the ring and brought it to them that week. This was May. The 4th salesperson for ordered it in 5&1/8. We ordered our wedding bands and luckily I kept the card with the corresponding band because they tried to upsell us on a band $200 more. Once I found the card with the item number and price she happened to find it. When I went to get my ring it was obviously too small and I asked if they could stop the order on my band. They said they would and it would take a few more wks. This was the beginning of June. We left for Vegas on July 3rd. They promised it would be here in time. Our bands came in and fit great. My engagement ring came in wks before we left and it fit perfectly. Unfortunately, it had chisel marks in the band, the bottom had awful dull spots, and there was a divot on the side. No one has introduced themselves as a manager. We have dealt with I'm sure the entire staff at this point. No one said "let's make this right" or any other reassuring phrase. We went home. Gabe called and asked what they could do. The person he talked to said she just arrived, wasn't there when we were, but assured him it had to have passed inspection. Now I take this as them accusing us of damaging the ring that they have damaged. But, they told him they could fix the marks/spots, but couldn't do anything about the divot as it was "what happens with sizing." He ran the ring back and they said all the damage was sizing damage but still claimed the divot would have to stay. He insisted they order me a new ring from the manufacturer in the correct size we initially ordered. They told him it would take much longer but I could take my engagement ring, now damaged/having to be returned, to the ceremony. Had they offered this from the start we would have had my ring in time. I called every day asking if it was in. They were bare minimum polite each time. When the damaged ring came in days before we left we went to pick it up. All of the associates went to one corner of the store while one woman worked with us. I tried it on, it fit perfectly. Chisel marks and spots were gone but the divot remained. We went to Vegas and our wedding and our week was perfect! I'm glad we had our wedding bands but my engagement ring was not mine anymore. It is now into August. Last week they called and my brand new ring had come in. We go in and re-explain everything from the beginning. To bring it full circle the woman that was now handling my ring was the 1st woman who should have ordered it in the right size in Jan. She pulled out our paperwork that was several pages with writing in all directions. I should've got a copy. I said I wished I had one of those jeweler's magnifiers to look it over and without hesitation or a word she tossed hers onto the counter. I used it and asked if they had done anything with it. She said it had just arrived straight from the manufacturer. We were overly nice and understanding this entire time. Never once did anyone say sorry or anything like it. And as a note, we initially purchased the insurance and warranty so this all should have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChristy was very helpful! I was very happy with my concerns about getting my wedding rings re-sized, & also the gold necklace of my husband's repaired. She gave us options as to how we could get the gold necklace fixed, if it was indeed repairable. She also gave us a quote on what we could receive if we sold that necklace for the gold weight. We were given options as to the cost of repairs to my rings; pay full price or we could use the money from the sale of the necklace towards the re-sizing of my rings. She was extremely helpful with our questions & we ultimately decided to sell the necklace, & use it towards the re-sizing costs. The re-sizing options were both affordable. We weren't aware before that we could bring in gold to sell. I'm very happy knowing I'll be able to wear my wedding rings again soon! Christy also took the time to show us other jewelry pieces, & informed us of options we have to get some loose gemstones mounted with special King's events, &/or that we could bring them in & she could help us pick out design options. She offered a lot of good advice & was very knowledgeable. I've been a customer at King's since I can remember buying my own jewelry as an adult, and before that, my Mom always shopped at King's, & used King's for all of her jewelry repairs. Having a trust with the people you purchase items from, & send out important items for repair, is important. I've always walked out of the store hapoy, more knowledgeable, and will always go to King's first for all of my jewelry business. Thank you to Christy, & all of the employees at my local store , as they truly care about the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChristy was absolutely phenomenal and my fiancĆ© and I canāt put into words how grateful we are for her dedication and knowledge! We have 6 weeks until our wedding and my engagement ring was lost in the mail when it was sent back to be repaired (original ring was bought through With Clarity, they are a horrible company with horrible customer service), so weāre on a time crunch and wanted a ring in time for our wedding, and also a ring that we can trust to be in good hands for any future repairs/inspections/cleanings! Christy helped us basically create a replica of my original ring, and is getting it to us in about 2 weeks, so thereās a good chance Iāll even have it in time for our bachelor/bachelorette trip to the beach at the end of this month! She answered all of our questions (we had a lot after dealing with the original lost ring and the original company), and put both of us at ease about buying a new ring and having it in time for our wedding. I never imagined I would be shopping for my own engagement ring 6 weeks before my wedding, but weāre so grateful for Christy and Kingās and finally feel like we can be excited about our wedding again without worrying...
