Ladies go here if you want to be mansplained, lied to, and over charged...
I recently went here to rent some equipment and from the second we walked in the 2 men working there were extremely rude and dismissive. We originally asked to just rent boots but were informed that it would be best for them if we rented skis and boot for their liability. I asked if he knew of any places where we could rent just boots and the worker said that most places rent the set which I found out later was a lie. The workers were super lazy and made rude comments because we weren't sure what length of ski we needed. Even though there were only 2 other customers in the store the workers totally rushed through the boot fitting and didn't seem to care at all about us. We ended up renting skis and boots for over $100 that were in bad condition and too short. The final straw was when they refused to store our shoes for the day even though they had just done so for the customers before us. We rented just boots the next day from Christy sports across the street with no trouble and for way less money, a much better customer experience.
I rarely write review but this was truly the worst customer service I've ever experienced and in a town full of ski shops I'll choose a different one...
Read moreWe rent 2-3 times a year at various resorts all over the Rockies. I did not have a good experience renting here. It is very convenient, however, that is about the only good point. The rental equipment was all beat up. We paid extra for 'demo' equipment which looked like nicer skis that are rented just as hard as all the other ones. My son forgot his helmet and it was an extra $54 just for a helmet for 3 days. Over $500 for my son and I to rent 2 sets of skis/poles for 3 days. He needed a helmet and boots too. That is 40% more that I have paid elsewhere. Then, after the first day, we stopped back in to swap our skis for shorter ones. At other resorts, we just give them our names and they swap the skis...easy peasy. Here, they made us start all over again. Had to fill out their detailed contract and sign off again. We were hoping to get a few more runs in before the end of the first day. After sitting in their shop for more than an hour in all our ski gear, we missed out on the remainder of the day. Did not get a good vibe here. We were not treated kindly. Almost like we were a burden to them. I will avoid Telluride Sports...
Read moreThe lady changed my demo package to performance, the guy later in the day said I did. I put in for size 12 ski boots, I always get that, at Whistler, Snowbird, Timberline, Snowbasin, Mt. Bachelor, Nordic Utah a week ago. They made me wear a size 10. Found this out later in the day. Skied in pain so bad in my squished toes, toes starting to go numb one boot, burning pain on bottom of feet. The guy was arguing with me at end of day next time he would not give me size 12 the worker. I told him about what it did to my feet and all the other mountains I wear size 12. I have no problems with size 12. After that he said he would give me size 12 next time too late for the agonizing pain and numbness to my one foot. Did not have any of that at all the other ski rental places when I had on size 12 ski boots. If you rent here insist on your order the ski boot size you wear, and insist on your rental package. They are not that educated on ski rentals. Please educate your...
