I used to be a huge Alo fan (and still am of a Few select products!) Between the crazy price hikes for lesser quality products, and the horrible customer service I’ve experienced from every angle….from manager to online support, honestly not sure how this company is still profitable. Today really topped it off when I went in store to return 2 items from a 3 item order. I paid partially with a gift card and partially with cash/paypal. I understand the rules (which only benefit Alo, and the worst idea for customer retention) Instead of allowing me to use the gift card for the item I kept, they made me pay cash for it and refunded my entire gift card instead. Why in hell would anyone want to pay cash for something when they have a gift card. Literally the most ignorant policy I’ve ever heard, and probably part of why Alo has such horrible reviews literally everywhere. The thing that really set me off though is their short woman syndrome manager Leah? Or Leo? Not sure. Sounded like Leo. She clearly wasn’t happy with my reasoning for returning- they changed the material on a tank that I already own 3 of. It was Alosoft which to me is the best material, or was. Another stupid move by alo. She handled it in the most unprofessional way and refused to understand common sense. She was rude and condescending which is funny coming from someone in her position. As someone very prominent in the fitness industry in the Woodlands for the last 15 years I will be sure to share my experience and make sure my clients are well informed about this location prior to investing in mediocre quality products with a less than mediocre...
Read moreI made a purchase for my wife for her birthday for over 300 dollars. When I got home she asked me about the bag that they give you when you make a purchase of this size. I told her that they hadn't given it to me. She went to the store and the saleswoman, very kind, told her that at that moment they didn't have the bag but that she could go get it when it was available. She went for a month and they never had it. The last time she went they did have the bag but the manager treated her in a very disdainful manner and spoke to her in an altered tone telling her that that wasn't the case, that if she wanted the bag she had to make a purchase of more than 300 dollars that day and that she was trying to get another free bag because they had already given it to her there. I don't think they should have a person like that working for the public. I will never buy...
Read moreI made an online purchase and surprisingly nothing fit, too BIG! I called the store on my lunch break was helped over the phone to place some items on hold to try on after work. Came into the store was helped by another associate, tried on the additional sizing options, made the online return in store, which was a smooth process. They can't do an even exchange, so they had to return the original items and charge my credit card again. Today I called the store back, just to get an idea of how long the returns take.. I was told 3-5 days depending on my bank and if I had any additional issues I could call back and they would help me. Awesome experience all around and amazing customer service and communication.
