I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week so I’m barely here, the apartment is nice the view is nice, the building could be better maintained mostly the elevator constant animal piss inside. My biggest issue is the office, everyone could use more customer service training, left my key one day after just exiting the elevator told the guy at the front desk if he could open the elevator so i can get my keys he asked for my apartment number which i told him then without hesitation precedes to tell me that the apartment number i mentioned was not a number in the building after i been living here for 6 months then asked me for my name and told me i am not a resident. Just one example. Then after he called me to “apologize” in a condescending manner suggesting that i would feel uncomfortable approaching the front desk, i told him i hope he takes this as a learning experience for the next person. There is no POC that work in the office here the manger has the same attitude and condescending manner. If this was a high end apartment maybe i could understand but considering this is like low income housing, it’s a very cultural thing in the area it seems. I’m not a local here from the east. Worst customer service around. Was even told once at the front desk maybe they are confusing you with the homeless out side. Almost forgot to mention the building is next to a park which is full of homeless people and they constantly are around the building. The homeless are actually pretty nice, the regular people are actually the rude ones. MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR OWN AC, the thermostat is FAKE. They don’t mention it when you are looking at the apartment. Since i been here it has gone out twice no apologies or anything for residents definitely feel lied too and deceived waiting for my lease to end. When i approached the manger he simply stated that it was in the lease and should have been read. PS check out rendezvous urban flats it’s more expensive but excellent service friend lives in the building. I haven’t even gone to the front desk with concerns due to the fact i honestly feel i won’t be Heard. Great if your only here to sleep also the maintenance guy is super cool he is the best Javier is his name great guy and i big help considering the front desk doesn’t know how to treat people. Met multiple people in the building they all have the same feelings especially...
Read moreThe apartments themselves are really nice. However, the company is completely profit-oriented, with nearly no flexibility. On top of that, they are dishonest -- when I toured my apartment, I was told it was "soundproof." The halls resonate every single sound....and now I receive several complaints if my dog barks for twenty minutes. When management contacted me to make me aware of noise complaints, they said that they "don't train their staff to say that the apartments are soundproof," despite that, in reality, the staff DID say that...
Most of this is testimonial, because I don't think I'm legally allowed to display emails from management. But, during a pandemic, the apartment also told me that I was not allowed to pay rent one day late each month (because that is when I get paid), and that it is "not possible" without incurring a late fee. Again, during a pandemic. This review was prompted by an email from management about how flexible and lenient Herbert Residential has been about rent payments since the COVID-19 outbreak. The email was kind of a sad attempt to mollify and placate residents, and was also a flat out lie -- as, in a time of great need, I requested a one-day extension on my rent payments, and was denied without any concrete justification.
So...great location, if you're willing to hear 'we will lose money if we accommodate to your situation' once a month. But that's...
Read moreThe leasing agent / front staff are horrible. There is no communication when they are to shut down the office. Their appointments they no call no show to their place of employment and leave people wondering what’s going on. I have lived here for 1.5 years and there’s nothing but bad things to say about this apartment complex. I have been on a “waiting list” for parking passes and no one has told me their available, they are more willing to tow peoples cars than supply them with the pass. I’ll first unit flooded and it took them a 2 weeks for them to solve the issue. My work computer and accessories were damaged from the water. Instead of them helping me out they switched my unit (with them increasing my rent $85 dollars) and not replacing my damaged work items. The leasing person Jesse I believe was condescending and not sympathetic to what was going on. After my go then switched into the new unite a week passed and from the monsoons I had another leak into my apt cause their windows weren’t properly sealed.they need to majorly improve management customer service , punctuality and just be more involved with the community he is...
