Update: Tim, the owner responded and contacted me personally to handle the situation. He also personally delivered the last furniture I bought and assisted me in helping schedule a delivery so that I would get the furniture sooner than the original ETA. I appreciate the effort and efficiency of this store and will look forward to working with this store and Tim in the future as well. I have updated my original review rating of two stars to full stars because the entire delivery and handling of the matter was handled and sorted out immediately by the owner, Tim. Thank you. :)
I am giving two stars as a a general review for the store. I would have given full stars + for my consultant, Lina, who has been extremely professional and helpful to me concerning all my orders and purchases. She has been wonderful in interactions and in communication. She deserves full stars.
I'm giving two stars as a general review because I am extremely disappointed by the unprofessional tones and service from another consultant Julie from a few interactions on the phone and email when I asked for basic questions concerning updates in regards to changes made to the order or delivery.
I called to check in when I didn't hear from delivery team on the set date I was told originally. The original delivery ETA was set earlier according to computer, but changed to another date later on due to logistical changes, which is understandable. After that, it was changed again but I wasn't informed so I waited a day and then simply called/emailed to check in and ask but when I spoke with Julie, it was a very curt and unpleasant interaction. I asked for details concerning what happened and what may possibly be the timeline given the new logistical details. Julie was very unfriendly and I did not want to ask any more.
I then email my main consultant- Lina but then was responded by Julie saying I was impatient, stating incorrect details about original ETA of delivery that was on computer back when I placed the order. I understand that this is a busy stressful holiday season for everyone, however, asking about changed updates or just being informed on when to expect an email on delivery etc. is not an unreasonable request, especially since I have been told that I will be updated if there are changes by email, etc and I also need to work out a busy schedule with the delivery team as well.
This is extremely disappointing to me as I see that Julie is the team leader. I have enjoyed working with my consultant Lina as she is very patient and looks up information for me to ensure I am happy with what I purchase (which resulted in me buying a dining table, coffee table and sofa) but unfortunately I am not sure if I would like to come back if other consultants are not professional and it is a very unfriendly atmosphere when I call or email for questions or concerns.

At BoConcept, with the help of design consultant Julie Bareits, we found what we had not been able to find anywhere else: a beautiful 51” round pedestal table that expands to seat 8 and stores its own extension leaf in the tabletop. The ingenious expansion mechanism allows one person to open and expand the weighty table with ease, while the table remains perfectly centered. It is both a work of art and an engineering marvel.
What has made our “customer experience” even more special has been the top-notch professional service and personal attention BoConcept has given—before, during, and well after the sale. Over the past two years, I have called Julie and members of the installation team to ask questions about table maintenance or operation; they always respond promptly, with clear explanations (even offering to come out and demonstrate again!).
Last month, I noticed that the tabletop, when viewed in a certain light, seemed to have lost some of its initial luster in places, and, if I squinted, I could see part of a dim ring left by a glass of ice water. I also noticed a tiny black spot on the tabletop. None of these areas was easily visible, but, since Julie had been so helpful all along, I called her and asked if she had some suggestions about how I might touch them up. She asked me to send her pictures, which I did. Within a few days, I received a letter from BoConcept’s Warehouse Team Leader, explaining that he had convinced the supplier, as a “good service,” to provide us with a new top for our table, which the BoConcept installation team would install free of charge when it arrived in December.
